Week of 1/9 for bothWhen were they scheduling to?
Yup - the HST meet and greet is specifically for the HST program. I thought it was worth going for both because there are some pretty major differences between the programs, so it was productive to get both sides from students in each program. For anyone who has interviewed for both Pathways and HST programs -- do you know if there is a difference between the 'meet and greet' events for each? Like is the 'meet and greet' before the HST interview tailored for the HST program? Or are they pretty much the same. (I.e. would it be productive to go to both lol)
Thank you, that's really helpful to know!Yup - the HST meet and greet is specifically for the HST program. I thought it was worth going for both because there are some pretty major differences between the programs, so it was productive to get both sides from students in each program.
Do they not send out any II in Jan🙁SDN has been quiet today so I guess that's a wrap🙂Good luck to everyone interviewing & congrats to those accepted! Harvard would've been a dream come true but I'm also superrr happy with my other acceptance❤️
the hope is that they do! @Orims mentioned that last day for interviews in 1/19 and the most recent II reported only seeing availability up to week of 1/09. So we can likely expect new II in Jan. when an SDN-er reports availability up to 1/19 (likely within the first week or two of Jan), that's when the race is over for the rest of us.Do they not send out any II in Jan🙁
At this point, it’s a Hail-Mary. Congratz to everyone who made it this far and those who been accepted/interviewed. It’s been a long journey and we should all be proud of the progress we made over the past years.the hope is that they do! @Orims mentioned that last day for interviews in 1/19 and the most recent II reported only seeing availability up to 1/09. when could you schedule to?
Wow, they must be assigning us to specific dates then, bc that week was blocked for me but I had six choices across the first two weeks of January. Guess they're filling their last slots - i'm feel so privileged to have squeezed in!Jan 17th was the only available date when I scheduled
CONGRATS!!!! when are they scheduling for & would you say you have any major EC's that would stand out to HMS? Thanks in advance 🙂OOS ii at 12pm EST 😱 I'm freaking out this was totally unexpected. Complete 6/29 sent an update 10/24 LM 75.1
Edit: pathways
Not that I can think of, my app is very research heavy with much less clinical exp so I was very very surprised! Happy to give more specifics in dm 🙂 Edit: sorry forgot to answer regarding scheduling, when I first looked they had 1/9, 1/19, and 1/20 available but the 1/9 date quickly disappeared.CONGRATS!!!! when are they scheduling for & would you say you have any major EC's that would stand out to HMS? Congrats again! Not that I can think of, my app is very research heavy with much less clinical exp so I was very very surprised! I was told it's pretty common and the majority of people who apply to transfer are accepted. I may be wrong, but I think I remember them saying the application is at the end of first year.Invited for MD Pathways! Very surreal! Does anybody know what the process is like to be admitted for an MD and transfer into the Harvard-MIT MD-PhD program after a couple of years? (specifically about the process)
Congratulations!!! Did you send any update letters or LOI?I got an II yesterday for MSTP and Pathways! Only submitted my secondary in early August.
Not current student but have friends there, send ASAP, they review apps post-interview on a rolling basis.Hi! Do any current students at HMS know what the post-II update letter process is like? Should we send in our update letters closer to March before decisions or just send them in as soon as we can post-II (assuming we have a significant update)?
Thanks for letting me know! Hope I sent my letter in time to be reviewed with my post-interview stuff 🤞Not current student but have friends there, send ASAP, they review apps post-interview on a rolling basis.
Congrats that's amazing!!!II to Pathways at 9:55 AM ET, complete 8/15! Shaking in my boots and so grateful!!! I picked the last date that came up for me (1/25)
Yes you should be able to see it in your portal under the "Application Updates" tab in "Uploaded Documents"for anyone who submitted an update letter, are you all able to see the letter you uploaded in the portal? i’m not sure if i actually attached my letter because i’m not able to see it. thank you!!
Yes you should be able to see it in your portal under the "Application Updates" tab in "Uploaded Documents"
Yeah unfortunately it won't let you actually view it :/ If you think you may have made an error in the letter you uploaded, you can email [email protected] and they can delete the old one and replace it with the right one for you though (had this happen to me after realizing I made a grave error in my first attempt 😳)!the portal shows that i uploaded a document but i can’t actually view or download it. is it the same for you?
thank you!!
Yeah, this exact thing confused me a bit because most other portals do let you view and download.the portal shows that i uploaded a document but i can’t actually view or download it. is it the same for you?
thank you!!
Probably not – I sent an update and then got an II two weeks later with no correspondence in between.Anyone know if you get a confirmation email after the update is read? Since they may or may not be reviewed.
I did not! I haven't sent any to any school, but have still received a handful of December/January invites.Congratulations!!! Did you send any update letters or LOI?
Congrats that's amazing!!! when could you schedule to?II to Pathways today! Complete late Oct, Im so grateful!
Why send one then lolIs it bad if you don't have anything significant to write in a post-II update letter?
Thanks! 3th week of JanCongrats that's amazing!!! when could you schedule to?
lol I mean does it affect you negatively if you don't get to send one at all because of thatWhy send one then lol
I know many people who have gotten in during past years without sending anythinglol I mean does it affect you negatively if you don't get to send one at all because of that
To my knowledge, post-II updates do not move the needle 99% of the time. If you're worried about demonstrating interest/intent, let me tell you with full certainty that Harvard does not care lol. But obviously you can still send one in if it would make you feel better—you could talk about current projects/updated hours/completed grades idk.lol I mean does it affect you negatively if you don't get to send one at all because of that
