Anyone know if there is a dress code for the ORMA open house?

Pathways and HST II earlier today (but MSTP rejection).

HST was scheduled on 1/9, and had a choice between 1/2 and 1/3 for pathways. I believe interviews conclude at the end of January, so there's still some time for more interview invites to be sent out!
Congrats! May I ask what your stats are porfavor?

has anyone sent 2 updates and received an interview? Is it okay to send 2 or do you think that is annoying?

Is there a point to send an update letter if I don’t really have much of an update? Basically everything is the same except my NGO is helping another population too now. Doing the same work tho

I personally would not because adcoms might find it annoying if it is not a significant update!! Have faith that they will see the incredible work your NGO is doing 🙂

Hi everyone. I have an upcoming HST interview. I expect it to be intense and focused on research, but I was wondering if anyone here who interviewed could offer any insights on their experience. I would really be immensely grateful as I'm stressing. Thank you in advance, happy holidays to you all!

HST was my favorite interview yet (even more so than Pathways which was my favorite before then). It was definitely more research-focused than my other interviews, but they didn't grill me or anything—it was relatively open-ended and just felt like a casual but thorough discussion of the work I did, which is second nature if you've been working on a project for years. I suppose it kind of helped me that basically nobody is familiar with the premise of my research, so I had a lot of power to steer the conversation in the way I wanted. Outside of the research lean, it feels much more like a typical conversational interview.

I have heard a limited number of anecdotes of interviewers being intimidating or kind of nitpicky when it comes to details of your research, but it must be very interviewer-dependent because both of mine were super warm and seemed to appreciate my enthusiasm.
