Did anyone else get a call? I got a missed call from Colton and now I'm worried it was CUSM and I missed it....

For those that got the email where on AMCAS did you find the registration option? I’m not able to find it in AMCAS

Got the virtual engagement day email an hour ago. We're just supposed to sign up for one time slot, right? Not both and look like an idiot? Lol

Also, I'm going to spill a secret that my old roommate who was a med student adcom shared with me: the events that they say are optional and won't affect your admission decision, will affect your admission decision. And they will take note of whether you attend. Considering that the two dates are in November and admissions decisions started coming out in December last year, the timing seems to line up...

What is the url for the secondary portal? I deleted the email after submitting it.

Just want to drop another nugget of wisdom. Just because you interview around the same time does not mean you'll get the engagement day email the same time. I got my engagement day email like 2 weeks AFTER my interview. Also, pretty sure some people reported about getting a decision before the engagement day. This school has a really long process.

Does anyone know if this school lets you submit update letters? I can't seem to find any tab on my portal.

We only RSVP to one of the virtual engagement days in the portal correct? Do we decline the second option or just leave it?

Anyone else experiencing radio silence? IE applicant.

yup. app complete on 08/27, but I'm IS (and not IE).

Yeah, complete silence and I lived in the HD for Twenty years

At this point in the cycle hearing nothing is no indication of how CUSM views your application. They run a bit slower and longer than other schools. A lot of people eventually get interviews without hearing anything for months sometimes. A lot of people will end up being accepted who don't hear anything back early on and eventually interview late-winter/spring 2025, I guarantee it. It's not ideal but its just how it works with CUSM. So, no worries right now.

Yeah my fiance goes to the school and they seem very unorthodox and a bit slow lol

Hi everyone. I need some advice and I don’t have anywhere else to turn to.

I was planning on reapplying this cycle after an unsuccessful first cycle. Unfortunately, I had some devastating personal life events after submitting my primary app in June that I’ve been dealing with the last couple of months. The only school I submitted to was CUSM (with plans to add my full school list during verification), and I just let my application linger since then basically. Now I’m finally in a good place and I’m contemplating whether it’s worth it to send in my secondary this late in the game.

It would be a dream to attend this school and not have to wait another year, but I also wonder if it might be wiser to save my essays and avoid potentially becoming a 3rd time applicant by waiting until the next cycle, when I might have a fighting chance.

Please be kind but honest, thank you <3.

Its very late, but certainly not impossible if you feel you are an excellent mission fit. If youre local to the area I dont see the harm in shooting your shot with this one school, knowing that admission is less likely than it would be with submitting earlier. Plus, from what I understand, CUSM admissions is SLOW and their cycle is particularly long.

I'm happy to hear youre in a better place now. I wish you the best of luck on your journey🙂

Hello. Anyone know how much time we have to respond to the interview recording questions?
