My heart goes out to all of you and good luck on the application cycle! <3

I don't even know why I applied with an LM of 61 ...
The ranges of the academic metrics for those that were invited to interview were:

  • Cumulative GPA: 3.12-4.00
  • Science GPA: 3.00-4.00
  • MCAT: 505-528
The average GPA and MCAT for the entering class of 2023 was:

  • 3.83 Cumulative GPA with a range of 2.87-4.00
  • 3.79 Science GPA with a range of 2.43-4.00
  • 518 MCAT with a range of 505-527 Mode: 517
don't lose hope, we all got a chance, good luck!

sorry to hear about the R's guys. What does cwru even look for :/

interesting, i wonder how the entering class has a wider range than those invited to interview.

sorry to hear about all these rejections, good luck with the rest of the cycle <3

does it feel like they’re generally going in order of complete date?
No clue. I submitted 7/22 and haven't heard anything one way or the other. II's have been sent out for dates after mine but it doesn't look like any rejections here came from people who submitted after that date

at cwru, is interview invite sent by application strength? does anyone know if there is a correlation?

What do you mean exactly by application strength?
Like stats, quality of experiences, rec letters, mission fit. Basically your score without the interview component.

Comparing a person with an arbitrary score of 100 who submitted on 7/30 vs someone else with 90 also submitted on 7/30, would the applicant with 100 be invited first to interview or is it truly random? They accept ppl every month following interview but if this is true, then technically there should be more As in the earlier months assuming the mean interview score is the same for each monthly interview cohort?

I think it's probably a high percentage of application strength and a low rate of randomness. Mission fit seems to be important for Case. They're rolling, so there will be more acceptances early on in the cycle than later. Of course some people might get overlooked and stuff, that's why people still get II's in February.

what would u say is their mission?

Does anyone know if it's recommended we do the IQ session before or after the interview? Or does it not matter?

I don’t think it really matters! Did it today - super low stress, literally just a chance to learn more about how IQ works and talk with current case students. If you do it before your interview I guess you could talk about it during your interview, but otherwise I don’t think there’s a difference

If I am applying to both CWRU and Lerner would the additional information response be a bad place for a "Why Us?" essay? Considering they are separate programs
