Any thoughts on deferral chances? Have tried to find historical data, but haven’t found much. Case is my top choice but also want to be realistic and am thinking of sending a letter of intent elsewhere.

I don’t think deferred applicants get reviewed until early March, the next round of decisions will likely be for the last few interview dates

technically you’re deferred, they don’t decide waitlist until late Feb / early March when they review all deferred applicants

You get deferred and get a decision (A, WL, or R) in early March. If I had to guess it's probably mostly waitlists unfortunately.
