Does anyone have the FAFSA code for CU in Phx? The code I used pops up for Nebraska so not sure if it’s different or not
 
It appears that last year they made initial acceptance decisions on the same day they were expected to review - could be different this year with the “Thursday review -> Friday portal change -> Monday decision” trend but regardless the May 8 WL review seems unanimous among discussions w/ office hours folks
 
Are decisions released same day as committee meeting (which is today)?

I know this is an anxiety filled time, but just remember if it’s meant to be, then it will be! You’ve come this far, CU is obviously a fan of you and your application to still be in the running! Have faith in yourself and all the efforts you put in thus far!

Whenever I’m feeling anxious, self-doubting, or frustrated with the process, I take a nice long walk outside to clear my body and mind of any negative energy I created for myself. It’s a good reminder that worrying is just a wasted emotion.

You’ve got this! We’ve all got this!

Around this time 4:00-4:10pm on Thursday, May 9th last year, people started reporting the "A decision has been made" disappearing prior to acceptances or changes in their account. Feels super neurotic to report this but I guess if they're doing anything today I guess we will see soon!

Hey everyone,

I was recently accepted to Creighton University School of Medicine’s Omaha campus after initially applying to their Phoenix campus. I’m still on the waitlist for Phoenix and could potentially have the option to choose between the two if a spot opens up.

I’m from Idaho, so Phoenix is a bit closer to home and has some appeal location-wise. That said, I have some concerns:
  • I’ve heard Phoenix students might feel more disconnected from the main Creighton campus.
  • I’m interested in Orthopedic Surgery, and I just learned that Creighton is launching a home ortho residency in Omaha starting summer 2026. That seems like a big deal in terms of potential mentorship and networking.
  • I also wonder whether research and specialty-specific exposure would be stronger in Omaha due to the more established infrastructure.
I’m trying to figure out which campus would best support my goals. If anyone has insight into the differences between Omaha and Phoenix—especially from a research, residency match, or ortho pipeline standpoint—I’d really appreciate your thoughts.

For those of you who have gotten the call off of the waitlist what number did it come from. I got a call on Friday and today from a number that says scam likely, I've been at work both times so I couldn't answer it. Is this Creighton, and if so would they leave a voicemail or do that only offer the A if you pick up? Probably just spam but am stressing I missed the call.

Congrats! Did your portal change as well or did you only know you got the A from the call?
 
So it seems like the next time we will hear back will be this upcoming Thursday (5/15/25) for however many positions are left..?

Thank you! Sadly I did not check the portal after the call, I only just checked it now and it says "A decision has been made" and when clicked it shows the next steps upon acceptance.
 
Is the waitlist now ranked? I am thinking about calling the office of admissions because I am still waiting for (hopefully) some more movements and a possible acceptance! Do you think they would be able to tell me any more information?
 
Hey I called admissions earlier today there is no rank on the AL. They are unsure about movement going forward (seemed to not really have much). Unpredictable basically
 
When I was accepted on the 8th they said we had a week to accept. So I wouldn’t anticipate any movement until sometime next week most likely.
 
I just received the med school general scholarship. Should I assume that this is the most I’ll get, or will they reevaluate the offer as more people withdraw their acceptances, and more funds are available?

I got more like 5 weeks after I received that, so you can probably get more.
 
I just noticed that the "A decision has been made" message is no longer showing on my portal. I’m not sure exactly when it disappeared, but I believe it was still there yesterday. Anyone else? Is this a good sign?

Still there for me. Past years its a good indication you're probably just waiting for the call atp
 
Got the call a few hours ago, accepted to the Omaha campus! I was told the Phoenix campus is currently full and seeing very little movement, but I’m still incredibly excited and grateful. Wishing the best of luck to the rest of you still waiting!

On your secondary, did you have phoenix selected as your preferred campus??
