2024-2025 Dartmouth (Geisel)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
according to the website, interviews end on Mar 13. From the info session, it seems like this school really wants to give late applicants equal consideration, but if they're still not thru the early Aug applicants and there's less than 2 months until the interview season left...

right? i remember them mentioning that they either get half or over half of their secondaries in July and that they said Aug/Sept folks should hear back by Jan/Feb (but there are probably folks who applied even later, since secondaries apps closed on Dec 1). I'm just worried about the timing (or if they're withholding all the Rs until one date, but time is running out :0

Would they just.... not read all the applications? What do they do if they run out of time lol

+1 post-II WL, interviewed in early-September. Not mad at the decision but dang can't believe I had to wait this long

+1 post-II WL, interviewed end of august. Also not mad, also dang can't believe had to wait this long HAHA

+1 Post-II WL. Interviewed 9/12 I think. I withdrew from the WL, good luck to all of you incredible people!!

Does anyone know Geisel's WL movement?

According to the AAMC 2025 WL procedures doc, an average of 25 WL offers (30 per the FAQs on the portal) are made each cycle with 40 acceptance offers from the WL. Not sure how that makes sense mathematically, but reversed or not, the chances seem pretty good!

Here’s the last interview date info

+1 post-II WL. I'm still waiting to hear back from other schools, but I'm fairly certain Geisel is my top choice, and I'm highly considering sending them my LOI. Does anyone know if the timing of the LOI matters? I.e should I send it ASAP (directly after receiving the WL news) or closer to May when they re-access my file?

Interviewed mid-October, does anyone know what it means if we still haven't heard back? It seems like they have re-accessed files from September to November...

On admit.org it seems they are getting into August apps! Fingers crossed or at least let the waiting be over soon
Did you notice the December submission rejections too? Do you think that’s user error or maybe Geisel is doing the sandwich method? 😅
