if anyone submitted thank you notes to the admissions email did you get a response?

Hi, I received an update a few weeks ago that the admissions committee has opted to "hold" my application.

Any ideas about what this entails or how grim the outlook is? Is there any estimate on how many applicants are placed "on hold"?

My thought was that it's better news than a rejection but I'm not sure how hopeful I should be regarding receiving an interview offer.

Thanks!

Did they email you to tell you this or was it just update on the portal?

I was complete late July, but I wouldn't lose hope. Drexel doesn't interview in order, you can still hear back! Sorry, I don't mean to give false hope, but I am a chronic optimist so...also II holds aren't good here so if you haven't gotten yet and you're complete in July, I would hold onto hope!

agreed. looks like even in the most recent interview wave people who were complete early to mid july.

IS deferred - interviewed 9/30🙃

current M1 lurking lol, congrats to the As! if you got deferred I wouldn’t despair, they revisit a lot of apps later in the cycle and quite a few deferrals turn into As. if you haven’t heard back after interviewing within whatever timeline they gave you, I feel ur pain and it’s super annoying but don’t freak out yet. anecdotally it took them something like 16 weeks to hand me back a decision, longer for some of my classmates. and for those who haven’t heard anything from them yet, fwiw I was complete in July and didn’t get an interview til November. I don’t have too much insight into admissions but they definitely don’t review in order.
Hi there! Is there a specific time in when to expect some of the deferral movement? Or is it truly random

Would you recommend passing them update letters if a few days/a couple weeks after a deferral email?

"DUCOM’s Enroll in Good Faith Policy" does anyone know what they mean by that? like if I accept the acceptance, does it tie me to school, or can I still continue to look at my options after multiple acceptances?

+1 OOS A, absolutely thrilled! Also interested in any insight on the "good faith" enrollment policy, if anyone has clarification on that?

Accepting your seat is not enrolling. When/if you commit to enroll in the Spring, you are expected to attend.
