2024-2025 Drexel

People who interviewed late October-early November, do we think acceptances could come out in the next few weeks? They've been moving at a fast pace

i do not see anything on Admit.org that corroborates this. are you sure?
Admit shows the date the II was received, not the date of the interview hence why it shows approximately 2 month decision. They schedule about 1 month in advance so the 2 acceptances are about a 4 week turnaround. Also all of the acceptances so far on this thread have been well under the 7 week mark, so it is reasonable to assume they are working faster than the expected timeframe, but the holidays might push it back a little.

ah youre right, thanks for the insight

thoughts on sending a post-II update letter? i have a significant update that we barely talked about in the interview, but im not sure if i should just wait till a decision has been made.
also in the same boat, thinking of sending a pre II update letter (interest letter?I think they are the same thing LOL). just unsure when to send one LOL bc I wont have huge updates until Jan (pubs) but I dont want to wait and receive a hold/rejection letter in the meantime.

Some people in last years thread were waiting 10-16 weeks and still got accepted! No news seems better than being deferred since it doesn’t seem like they reject post II.

does anyone know how the student interviewers make their reports on the people they interview?

i remember allie saying to reach out if it gets past the 7-10 week mark and she’d try to help us out, but i’m not even close to there this was for greymolerat

sorry if this is a redundant question but what does a hold mean for this school? I know for dif schools it can mean dif things (George Washington for example). Is it like a soft WL here, or is it a good thing?

A hold is pretty much an R for Drexel. There are people that haven't gotten a hold or an R yet from them.

Who else is still no hold no II, and what is our prognosis?😅
Drexel review process is so strange. Previous years have showed some people never got a hold and just rejected at end of cycle, some got holds and rejected at end, some had holds into an II, anything can happen with this school. I think the general consensus is that no news is better than a hold but they really are not at all transparent about their review process.

what about deferrals

what about deferrals
Deferrals are usually a soft R. The email claims they re-review deferrals at each meeting but there is no way that's true. Deferral list rarely hears back and if they do, it seems to be one wave in February and one wave in April-May.

no way seriously? ugh

Observing previous years, this isn't the case. There is TONS of movement on the deferral list towards the end of the cycle. Well into June people are accepted.
Yes, but not off the deferral list. The people accepted at the end are those who interviewed in February-March. I read through several years and there were like single digit amounts of people accepted off the deferral list. Not many at all.
