Just withdrew my IS acceptance (interviewed in September), hope it goes to one of y'all!
I actually sent two separate in the portal, one letter of intent and another update letterdid you submit the letter of intent as an update letter in the portal?
Thank you! In the portal for me, it only allows me to submit the following files: CV/Resume, Transcript, or Update Letter. Did you attach your letter of intent as an Update Letter in the portal or am I missing something?I actually sent two separate in the portal, one letter of intent and another update letter
Several have, if you scroll up. Deferral means they "aren't ready to make a decision yet" and isn't a waitlist. I think a lot of deferred and waitlisted folks will get accepted in May.Has anyone here got off the deferral list? Seems like a lot of people are on it
Thank you! I’m deferred at two schools right now so I’m desperate for some more movement soonSeveral have, if you scroll up. Deferral means they "aren't ready to make a decision yet" and isn't a waitlist. I think a lot of deferred and waitlisted folks will get accepted in May.
i was deferred in jan after interviewing in oct and i haven't heard anything since. are any other fall interviewees in the same boat or have heard back from their deferrals? this is the only school i got an interview at, so i'm just trying to plan out my next steps. thanks!
it's rough out here 😭 did u happen to try calling their admissions office? i've been trying but everytime im sent to voicemail which is weird bc when i called in jan they picked up pretty fastSame here. Interviewed in October and deferred in December. Nothing since.

historically, have people who interviewed late in the cycle (like mid-late march) been mostly just deferred/WL or have there been acceptances? just thinking that because we interviewed so late in the cycle that we might just get auto-deferred/WL
Wow, surprised they are already into MarchOOS deferred. Interviewed early March
It scares me that so many people get deferred. Looks like they waitlisted around 300 people according to MSAR:OOS deferred. Interviewed early March
OOS no response yet, Interview 1/21 called last week and still no committee determination should I count this as a deferral?
Congrats! When did you interview?OOS accepted 4/22 !!! First MD school and so excited 🙂
about 1/4 of the WL gets accepted, I would say that's good news compared to other med schools. I was deferred back in early Jan, just try your best to stay optimistic while adding new activities that will enhance your story on why you wanna get into med school! It scares me that so many people get deferred. If your update letter wasn’t a letter of interest or letter of intent (I guess update letters typically reaffirm interest but that’s not the primary purpose of the letter) I would definitely send one! You could do a letter of interest now then send a letter of intent if you get placed on the official waitlist, or go all in and send a letter of intent now. The only thing about that is that a letter of intent is sort of the last card you can play, but it’s up to you!Is it bad to send more than 1 update letter? I interviewed in Nov and was deferred early jan...i sent an update soon after getting deferred and have had radio silence since. im kinda getting antsy and want to send another update / continued interest/LOI but i dont know if thats worth it bc technically their website says 3 updates are allowed but 1 update letter. the waiting is killing me...anyone else the same?
I kinda ended the update letter i sent saying that this was my top choice oops...can i still send a letter of intent do you think? If your update letter wasn’t a letter of interest or letter of intent (I guess update letters typically reaffirm interest but that’s not the primary purpose of the letter) I would definitely send one! If you scroll to a previous page (probably 21 or 22), somebody posted a google sheets to start looking for roommates! Also, hopefully the facebook page will open soon - anyone know when that is going to happen?how is everyone finding roommates? I'm a female and would like to live near university/center city, so def hmu if you're also looking!
March 3!!! Thank you!!Congrats! When did you interview?
I interviewed early April and nothing but they're honestly probably just super slow lol considering how many interviews they must have to do to fill a class of 300 !!Has anyone _still_ haven’t heard post interview? I interviewed October and noticed Drexel wasn’t on CYMS.. I can only assume they ghosted and rejected me but not sure :/
Email on 4/29 about a deposit refund being issuedfor those who withdrew - have you gotten a response? I did last week and haven’t heard/ my cyms hasn’t changed from accepted yet. Just want to make sure they got it so I get the deposit back😭
It’s crazy disrespectful, and the fact that this happens every cycle and they don’t try to fix the issues like why 😭😭oos withdrew, never even got a decision from an october interview. good riddance
Never seen a more disorganized medical school, big reason why I withdrew is fear that they're like this to current students as well. I hope notoos withdrew, never even got a decision from an october interview. good riddance
