You can take step whenever you'd like, about half of people take Step 1 right after M1 (4-5 weeks dedicated) and the other half usually do it 3rd year when you have the whole year open

It wasn't working for me the first day they sent the email too. I was able to call the hotel directly to book still with the group rate (they had to transfer me to their event department or something analogous). Just explained that the website wasn't working, they verified it wasn't, let me book over the phone, and sent me a credit card authorization over email. Would give this a try!

I had the chance to talk to them directly and they said "single digits the last few years", they also admit approximately 2x the size of the class so ~118+ people would have to decline first

MSAR is not always accurate (look at Dartmouth's #s for example)

Maybe it's ~30 offers for less than 10 spots? I doubt everyone accepts the offer esp. since the waitlist is opt-out instead of opt-in... Either that or Duke hasn't updated the MSAR for a while- it's said 30 for the last few years. Unfortunately, I did physically talk to them so I'm inclined to believe that conversation over the MSAR document 🙁

im assuming that it's a mix of the 1 year preclinical, true p/f, and admissions making it attractive w those etc to steal the sub-harvards? just collect the best X factor'd applicants since those will carry over to matching (and sacrifice the 1-3 points on mcat median). genius strat

anyone got a complete match list? (redact the names if you need to)
