I would try to make sure you get something in writing, if they did not already give it to you. Id email your situation so that is in writing too and make them respond in writing at some point and not just the phone.

Very sorry you had to experience that.

Ding for disorganization in that admission office. Reminds me of Mayo a few years ago with like 300+ people getting incorrect acceptance letters.

I would also screenshot your CYMS page just to have it.
