Can I ask if/when the school marked you complete? Congrats and good luck!!

thank you! i got an email saying it was completed at 7 am and i got the II around 10:30 am. i was pretty shocked to get both on the same day haha. i submitted my secondary on 7/24 so idk why it took so long for them to mark it as complete

Wondering if they only mark you as complete if you're chosen for an II? Submitted everything by 6/27 and still not marked as complete

I submitted my secondary on 5/23, received a marked complete email on 5/28 and did not receive an II today.

OOS II Recieved! Submitted 6/28-30ish. LM 66. In-person only it seems

I think so. I submitted my secondary (with everything else already submitted on) 6/19. Still marked incomplete. I emailed them asking if they were missing anything from me and they responded with this: Thank you for contacting VCOM Admissions. Your file is currently in review for completeness. This can take a while due to the number of applicants in the system. You will receive an email once your application is marked as complete. Please let us know if you have any questions.

You ever hear back? 6/23 for me and nothing back yet

If you’re a minority, specifically URM, don’t go to this school. They don’t care about minorities or diversity. You won’t have a voice here. Any opportunity they can, they will make sure you don’t get further or do better than the white counterparts. Abort mission.

You have any examples to go along with this statement?

Absolutely babe.
Unfortunately, there is very little support for minorities on this campus (and other campuses after meeting other minorities from other campuses). Even though you may have classmates who look like you, the sense of isolation can still be overwhelming. Many of us are facing similar struggles, and it can be difficult to lean on each other when we're all carrying similar burdens.

You'll find yourself frequently in discussions with faculty and administration how to increase or retain numbers of a specific ethnic group, what can they do to support you better, what can they do to have better representation, etc. I mean the list goes on, which can be exhausting because as a medical student this is not your job. This is theirs. You may have heard of the "minority tax," and it's very present here—it can add extra stress to an already challenging medical school environment.

But hey take what I say with a grain of salt if you like. These are my opinions through my experience.

How was the interview day? Have one coming up and just want some idea of what to expect.

Anyone did their interview in person this cycle? Want to know what to expect.

i thought they only offer in-person interviews -- it was very conversational and everyone was super friendly!
Yeah they do mb worded it wrong, was just curious about what interview day was like. Thank you! How long did it last until with tours and everything else they had planned?

started at 9 and went until about 3 in the afternoon

Why do I read occasional posts and comments saying this school has bad vibes, why do people say this

Has anyone heard about how the waitlist is moving? I’m waiting for a call but I’m not sure how long I should be waiting.

Seems to be pretty sporadic bc I see on here people who interview back in October just getting there As so tough to say when

The whole process runs into July. Get comfortable and start preparing as if you are applying again, just in case.

I had a friend interview last year in April and was accepted on June 20th.

Interviewing Monday, any advice on what to expect? It looks like there’s [emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]] separate interviews on the schedule

do you guys know when the deadline typically is for paying the actual full tuition for VCOM-auburn. I’m waitlisted for an MD school that I’m excited about and hope it doesn’t interfere with that

It looks like they started waitlisting in December- has there been a lot of movement? How long did y'all have to wait? Just got a WL. I feel like that would be a fairly large waitlist if it’s had 3 months to accumulate

I was wailisted in December and I’m still currently on it. I’m not sure how it’s moving, but it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of movement right now.

Has anyone recently been accepted off of the waitlist? I’m unsure if im just overthinking but there’s been very little movement…..
