2024-2025 Einstein

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Just finished my interview here. It was super super chill. The doctor that interviewed me was very nice and asked me the basic “why medicine” questions and couple questions about my application in general. I wouldn’t stress too much about this interview. Just be yourself and be able to talk about why you want to be a physician. Good luck to everyone!!

I doubt this, the class is slightly smaller (used to be ~180, now is about 160)

Einstein has historically had a long long waitlist with a lot of movement, I assume they are going to do the same and only slowly take of the list as I sort of doubt people will pass up free tuition easily
I am sure the WL will be longer this year, but past years (based on MSAR) doesn't seem too long of a WL compared to other NY schools

not really sure if MSAR is that accurate, Einstein has historically had a few kinds of WLs (high priority, waitlist, some other term for a potential third list) -- not clear to me how many are reported

I sent an update email over a month ago but never got a response. Is it worth calling/emailing again or do they just typically not respond to updates and upload them

What is the appropriate way to submit an update to Einstein? MSAR says to submit via the interview portal but I don't see anything there

They send an email after your interview with a link for any updates (it’s part of the survey email). I think they also sent an email to interviewees a few weeks back with links on how to send updates or LORs.

You should have gotten an email that said: Einstein - Update Portal for Interviewed Applicants. The portal is linked in the line right before they sign off!

😱 glad i was wrong

It’s stated in MSAR that update letters are only available to interviewed applicants.

If there interviewing until April then it’s not like the other non rolling ones. It will be by interview date more than likely

was this a pre-II update letter? I have been seeing a lot of conflicting information regarding whether pre-II updates are allowed but if they have confirmed yours, I would feel more inclined to email.

I didn’t receive a confirmation for my update letter. I only received a confirmation for my thank you letter to my interviewer and Mary

does anyone know when we start hearing back regarding MSTP decisions?

I still haven't heard back, interviewed 10/15. They said in the interview decisions would be made mid-late December, but from what I can tell no one has heard yet. Can't decide if I should reach out checking-in/expressing continued interest or just wait it out.

I also haven't heard back and interviewed the same day. I figured since no one has heard back we should just wait it out. On cycle track there was an acceptance on Jan 29th from last year so it might be soon anyway.
