this was shared a while back from the AAMC.
I wish I understood how they came up with these WL numbers…have a class of 130 people but then 120 WL? Do they really think almost the entire accepted class will turn over? Seems so odd!! I would think maybe they would do like a percentage of the incoming class. So many people on the WL 😭

if I understand correctly, I believe a lot of people apply on avg to 20+ schools and some lean towards their instate institutions or schools with better aid/scholarships while factoring in cost of living amongst other things. It’s likely that many of those accept withdraw cause of these reasons and so it requires them to cover their losses so that the class won’t be under come orientation.

I am honestly super grateful for the opportunity, I can kill it during those six weeks, really lock in and get my work done. Your interview will go great, show them who you are, why Howard is an amazing fit for you, and how you fit into the mission. Best of luck, DM me after id love to hear about it!
I am so excited! I was waitlisted this morning, which means I am still in the running!! During my interview, I was told that around 80% of the class comes from the wait list. Prayers up!

I am applying for 2025-2026 and I was wondering if are any current students who could give some real insight on their experience as students at HUCM. In regards to administration, support, classes, professors, resources, financial assistance, funding opportunities, etc. I would appreciate it!

Has anyone else experienced radio silence from them? My secondary was received on 9/1. I haven't received any interview invite or rejection.
same, seems like there was a wave of pre-II rejections last week but nothing since :/

Same here, I’ve been just continuing to pray at this point ✨

Does anyone know what the class size is? I keep hearing different sizes from 120 to 140. I know the increased the interviews given from around 300 to around 400.

how are they accepting over 100 ppl off the waitlist if there are already 122 in the FB group? does that mean most ppl that were originally accepted withdraw their offer? it just doesn’t make sense
what I understand is we don’t know if majority of them have committed, so come April 30 and after when those holding more than 1 acceptance have to commit somewhere and schools will know if they plan on committing to their school. then WL movements usually happens

From my understanding not everyone in the Facebook group are accepted students

You are right, the numbers have increased, makes me believe they are pulling from the list as openings become available....it has increased by 6 in the past week.

Actually that's just when the option to commit opens, though it is the deadline generally to plan to enroll but that doesn't require you to give up your spots, each school requires commitment at their own date but it's usually June to July I believe

that makes sense. I was under the impression that April 30 was more of a mandatory decision date, but it's when schools begin getting a better sense of their yield via the plan to enroll tool and WL movement tends to pick up as schools get closer to their individual commit to enroll deadlines in June or July
hopefully much sooner for our sake

Was anyone able to get in contact with admissions this week?

Also FYI, movement may be slow starting May because of the shifted commit to enrollment date? People started hearing back late last year because of that. The commit to enroll date is now June 12th I think
