You can withdraw your application after paying the deposit! Unfortunately, you couldn't get the $1500 back, though.Last month, I received an acceptance from LECOM, Bradenton, FL, and I need to pay a $1500 deposit by the end of September to secure my spot. However, I am also being invited for interviews at MD programs. My concern is: if I pay the deposit to LECOM but later receive an offer from an MD school, would I still be able to withdraw my application from LECOM? Or does paying the deposit mean I am fully committed and cannot attend other schools? I’d appreciate your clarification on this matter.
Please let us know if you hear anything different. So far I'm hearing deposits are due in Sept. And congrats! Thanks much for your response. I will reach out to the admission department and check the traffic rules.
This is the one that they always attach to their emails: [email protected]Does anyone know if there is a specific email address for admissions for the bradenton campus?
Thank you! This is the one that they always attach to their emails: [email protected]
Nevermind, just got an IImy app has been completed and waiting for review since the end of July, has anyone else experienced this?
lol congrats. Patience is a virtue!!Nevermind, just got an II
they're very typical interview questions. be familiar with the program, why DO, etc. you'll do great!Hiii, hope everyone is every an excellent cycle so far! Does anyone have tips for the video interview that requires you to upload your response?
I emailed them about this like a month ago and they said my app is under review, even though it doesn't show that in the portal.my app has been completed and waiting for review since the end of July, has anyone else experienced this?
Anyone heard decisions back since the end of August? It's been quite a while now...
I would be very interested in how things are on campus per the hurricane. Anyone?Would any current students be willing to share how the school handled the hurricane?
How is the school preparing/handling hurricane milton too?I would be very interested in how things are on campus per the hurricane. Anyone?
Any current OMS here got an update? How is the school preparing/handling hurricane milton too?
Have a friend at Nova Clearwater campus - they cancelled classes Monday morning for the entire week and rescheduled a few exams. Some uploaded lectures I believe. Nova is in Pinellas County Evac Zone A right on the water, which was mandatory evac (zones A, B, C, and mobile homes mandatory for Pinellas). LECOM campus is not in an evacuation zone, but many students could live in an evacuation zone so I imagine they probably followed similar procedures as Nova. Manatee county was mandatory evac zones A/B/C and mobile homes as well. Curious to hear from current students how it was handled, though. How is the school preparing/handling hurricane milton too?
Congrats! this means they are starting to give decisions again lolIS A! Submitted virtual interview 08/16 , calling regarding if they follow AACOMAS traffic rules though, as there is no information about that on my portal, it just says "Due NOW" next to the acceptance decision button.
You lose deposit but you won't be forced to attend LECOM.I received my acceptance today and have about a month to pay my deposit. If I pay my deposit and am later accepted by an MD school would I be able to forfeit the deposit and attend a different school or will I be forced to attend LECOM?
nope. not requiredI know that this has probably already been asked but I can’t find the answer. Is an in-person day required to be accepted? I scheduled one but it’s really close to the Dec 14th deposit deadline and I would like to hear back from LECOM before I have to put down my deposit at other schools.
correct me if im wrong, but i thought bradenton only had the PBL pathway?Could somebody in the lecture discussion pathway please share their daily lecture schedule? I like having all the material presented without the need for outside sourcing, but the amount of time in class scares me with how much it might limit my study time.
oh gosh sorry, wrong thread- thank you!correct me if im wrong, but i thought bradenton only had the PBL pathway?
I live in the area and it is completely fine where the school is located, mostly the coast was impacted the most in terms of damages.I'm scheduled to attend the on-campus tour on Friday for the brandenton campus. I'm worried about being able to make it because of the damages from hurricane milton (I would be driving there). Does anyone have any insights into this?
yep. 8/09.interviewed 08/07. Absolute silence.
Yeah, it could be they are doing things slower than the other campuses. A bunch of people who interviewed in early August, for example, don't have their decisions yet.Anyone else experiencing delays with LECOM Bradenton? I submitted my secondary application fee for both LECOM Elmira and Bradenton on October 4th. I already received an interview invite for Elmira and completed that on October 11th, but I'm still waiting on any response from Bradenton. Has anyone else had a similar delay with Bradenton? Any help or advice on this would be great!
ahh gotchu! Thanks for the helpYeah, it could be they are doing things slower than the other campuses. A bunch of people who interviewed in early August, for example, don't have their decisions yet.
I have a friend who was waitlisted last cycle sometime around Oct/Nov, and she ended up getting accepted in Feb. So it does move throughout the cycle as opposed to other schools who don't touch their waitlist until like JuneAnyone who knows anything about the waitlist and how it moves? I would really appreciate it.
