2024-2025 Meharry

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It’s been over the 3-5 business days they stated it would take to get their records updated. Did anyone get the email that this has been done?
No but I assume it’s going to be a longer cycle than usual for them due to the extension of the secondary deadline. I imagine those applicants who fall within whatever criteria they’ve set are who they want to interview are given preference and those of us who were complete before then will ultimately end up getting the shorter end of the stick. I think it’ll be a matter of stringing applicants along until the class seats are filled.

I mean I’m under the 505 cut off, so I’m just waiting for my R at this point.

Meharry hasn't even sent me a secondary and I submitted my primary since August, sigh. 🙁

How long post ll did y’all receive a decision. Also do y’all think the class is full ?

Has anyone tried contacting them? Like letter of update/interest or email?

In the portal I saw no option to send updates, does anyone know if we can email them to admissions?

Well last year when I applied I sent both to email, and they said they’d add it to my file. However last year they told us not to and I did anyway. This year they didn’t explicitly say not to so I think you can.

I talked to admissions today. I was told if I hadn’t received a rejection email I was still under review for an interview.

Was also told that they did rolling admissions and would be admitting up until orientation.
I think this school interviews the least of the HBCU med schools. From what I’ve seen basically everyone is accepted post ll

Has scholarship information been released. Does meharry offer merit scholarships ? Do they have to be applied for automatic consideration

Currently sitting in teams meeting for a student interview, but there is not one joining. Was anyone else suppose to have a student interview today?

Was anyone that got an interview recently from the group of students that got secondaries on January 13th-17th?

in selecting the traditional interview, what did you guys put when asked: "Please share anything that will help prepare for our meeting."

I'm not quite sure that to put in there

After sending an email on feb 3, I just got a response after a little over three weeks that said "Please excuse our delayed response as the Office of Admissions & Recruitment is experiencing a higher than usual volume of phone calls and emails."

There isn’t one to my knowledge. I’ve only seen max 6 As on here so I assume roughly 40 have been accepted not sure what that yield will look like. Also maybe 10 reported ll but in my opinion they’ve had to have at least interviewed 150+ by now but on aamc MSAR allegedly they only interview 200 which I assume to be impossible given class size and yield
it’s been oddly silent on this thread it makes me wonder what things are looking like on the admissions end and how this may affect the incoming class. and considering the secondary deadline extension i assume they may have had to extend more II than normal.. i just wonder how selective they are being

Anyone think this year they’ll do like last year and interview and speed admit in June????

No way to know for sure. Ik it happened last year if it happened the year before also then maybe.

Does anyone know when the admissions committee meets and or released decisions ?

I’m literally praying people get accepted elsewhere and withdraw so I can interview here this has been like my preferred school since my youth
Is the post ll acceptance super high here or something ?
