I dont think they want updates until after the interview

MSAR says anyone who’s gotten a secondary can upload an update letter

Last year, I think they were still sending out invites in February. Maybe early March. Check last year's thread.
Just for perspective, they started sending out interviews roughly a month earlier this cycle, and it seems like they sent out many more interviews in each wave this cycle.

Apparently, they only interview 500 people, too. But honestly, I don’t think we can use the previous cycle as a proxy for this one.

Have they sent out IIs to applicants who were complete in September or October? In what order are they reviewing the applicants?

For people who have interviewed already: if we have both our interviews at 10 and 11am, then after the student panel ends we were good for the day right? No checking back in or closing stuff from admissions?

There’s a 1 hour intro, 1 hour student panel at lunch, then the 2 interviews. you’ll probably have the intro, interview1, interview 2, then the student lunch panel then be done

Can anyone speak on how much they've received from merit scholarships? I've seen a few posts in the past for full tuition scholarships but those are for crazy high stats haha. What about for someone who just makes the cut off for scholarships?

Miami was a mess on update letters last year....smh, Miami be throwing 12-essay secondaries in a plastic bin and forgetting to take the trash out when they don't update their page on stuff. Dw tho, Ima see you for residency miami, I love you

Has anyone gotten anything regarding campus tours? They said in their previous email that there will be more tour dates in December but I haven’t gotten anything. I really want to check out the campus and apartments nearby asap since I’ll be overseas from March-July

They mentioned in a FinAid session that they are going to have second looks beginning early April but didn't say a specific day.
They also said you can email them if you will be in Miami and they'll try and get a tour put together for you to show u around

Hi! My interview is coming up and my two interviews are scheduled back to back. Could anyone speak to how long each of their interviews lasted? I know they're designed to be 45 - 60 mins so I just want to make sure I have enough time in between to transition and maybe take a small break.

Yeah mine were back to back and I had absolutely no time for a break between them, lol. First one went over by a couple minutes too and I had to figure out how to end the conversation so I could join my next one. Second one was just 35 min for me though so def depends on the interviewer!

oh woah ok that's good to know, I'll have to be careful about the time. thank you!!

Thank you for the response!! I did shoot them an email a couple of weeks ago and they never got back to me. It's pretty hard to get in touch with them.

Consider yourself lucky if you have heard back by the end of this year. However, most people will hear news in the following months of 2025.

For the love of your mother and the sake of your health, try to go offline and enjoy your life. We all deserve it.

Happy holidays, and see you all next year!

2nd OOS WL today, really felt this one went well. two interviews were engaging back and forth convo. Someone advice please?

Yeah, I emailed them before when I was having trouble figuring out how to upload my update letter and they just sent me the link to the secondary portal to upload there. Goodluck!
I can't find the upload section for the life of me. Emailing them now and hoping they send the same link

I put my first interview date for 12/20, but I haven't received any confirmation. Should I automatically assume it is the second date I chose? Any help would be greatly appreciated

it's not going to be 12/20 but it may not be ur 2nd choice. prepare like it's the next most upcoming date and be ready to only have like 1-2 day(s) notice

I don't think you should assume it's the second date you chose. They took a little bit to get back to me with the interview confirmation too, and I was given my third choice. I'd say give it a few more days and reach out again if you still haven't heard back

Thank you for the help. There were only two dates available I could choose from and they were about a few weeks apart from each other. That's why I was thinking it has to be the second date I chose

ah I see then yes it's probably your second choice! You should reach out if you still haven't heard back a couple days before the second choice date

Should I read into the "invitation to take next steps" email to upload update letters? Does this hint at an II coming, or is it standard for all applicants to get this email?

Also wondering that ^ I thought it was an II and then got so disappointed lol

Dang they really got us. Read the email while I was on the move and automatically assumed it was an II lol
