i interviewed early october and still have not heard back , anyone else?
 
OOS II, complete 9/4. are the interview slots showing any available dates for anyone who got an II recently? mine does not display any available dates.

this is happening to me too! Only one date shown in november. Going to wait until the afternoon and then email about this i think

There was only 1 date when I scheduled mine last month, it may be the norm here
 
Didn't end up submitting my secondary to NYU-LI but received this email today (see below). Anybody received something similar? Wondering if it is worth completing the secondary this late in the game or if they just want my secondary fee lol.


"Thank you for submitting your AMCAS application to NYU GLISOM. Our review of your primary application suggests that you have the foundational experiences and insights about medicine that directly align with our school’s unique primary care mission. NYU GLISOM seeks to streamline students’ entry to primary care practice through our innovative three-year accelerated medical education program that comes with the offer of a directed pathway to residency in selected primary-care focused medical disciplines upon acceptance. We also offer full-tuition scholarships to all students regardless of need or merit.

We previously sent you an invitation to complete the NYU GLISOM secondary application and strongly encourage you to do so before the November 15th submission deadline so that we may consider you for an interview invite. For your information, our interview season ends on December 5th.

We look forward to receiving your secondary application and moving you through our review process."
 
So I submitted my primary app to this school but never submitted my secondaries after deciding to not apply but I received an email today about how my experiences and insights about medicine align well with this school's unique primary care mission and that they highly recommend submitting my secondary. Is this just a generic email that I should just ignore..? :/ Or should I submit my secondary app even though it's been like 3 months since I submitted my primary..?

Well now I'm leaning more towards this email not being so personal after all haha Got the same exact email today!

Honestly it looks like they have a system that checks for any experience related to primary care and automatically sends this email to everyone. Are you thinking about submitting a secondary?

Hmmm not sure yet, I'm torn between continuing prepping for an interview for another school or just writing the 350 word essay choosing the specialty. It's strange because my app isn't really primary care focused. A lot of my clinical experience was with internal med sub-specialties like as allergy/immunology/pulm but I still didn't really feel confident applying internal med here lol.

My guess is they send it automatically to anyone who submitted primary but not secondary. Doubt they screen for primary care automatically- that would take some decent programming
 
Very late post but wanted to add this data point for any future applicants who might be looking back on this.

Final pool notification on 10/9 with an interview in the last week of August.
 
Are these the final people that will be admitted to the school?

NYUGLISOM has an additional stage after the interview but before the acceptance. After the interview, you can either be rejected, put on hold, or be selected for the final pool. People in the final pool are considered for acceptance.

Believe so, last interview day is Dec 5th per an email they sent. I just checked and a previous email stated they’d send interview invites “through late November.”
 
do a lot of people get off hold status here?
 
For those in the final pool, do you know if the meet and greet is going to be evaluative? Thank you 🙂
 
what are your chances if you are in a post interview hold? like if you're not in the final pool by this point is it safe to assume its gonna be an R in Feb?
 
For the final pool, do folks know the appropriate timing to send a letter of continued interest? I was thinking after the meet and greet
 
pre-II R just now! it was a long shot with that class size so im not sweating it and neither should anyone else 🤓
