Does anyone know if Pitt circles back or if your date has been passed over is that basically an R?

I can't speak for certain but I would be willing to wager they absolutely do. It seems like most schools just start with high-priority candidates (in state, high raw stats, etc.). They probably offer interviews till Feb or March, and those can absolutely come from July apps.

have any mstp ii been sent yet? i know cycle track shows one but has anyone gotten one?

hey yall, I was wondering if I could get some advice regarding how to answer question 2. Describe a difficult situation you faced, how you responded to this situation and how this helped shape the person you've become.

im stuck between 1. having to navigate an education system without parents help due to being immigrants, which I do mention a specific proactive response OR 2. coming out queer, which has def shaped me even more, but there is not much of a response since it took time and energy and courage to actually come out. option 2 seems way more passive than option 1.

For the third question, could I talk about how I did research on social determinants instead of a specific patient interaction? /like I cant really think of a speicifc patient interaction

for the optional secondary essay is it worth using it only to mention a publication I was second author on? (it was only recently published after I submitted primary/my PI told me she mentioned in the her letter)

Not sure if it's worth using the 250 words to only mentioning one publication. I was also thinking of maybe just using my diversity essay +how I can contribute to school

Do they go in order of submission? (i just submitted today so I just wanna know what to expect)

do we get a confirmation email? I submitted last night (or rather very early in the morning LOL), but I havent received a confirmation email

I'm no expert, so just keep that in mind. I would assume yes simply due to the fact that most schools review secondaries in batches on a cycle, so depending on when you submitted it your secondary will be reviewed earlier.

However, it seems logical that they could circle back to candidates or move candidates to future review batches for review if they are unsure about sending an interview invite or if they want to prioritize certain types of candidates for earlier interviews (e.g. local, mission fit, stats, research, etc).

Why are you asking why?? Are you a king or a jester?
@stew_md Im teasing the king a little because last cycle it was “why not me?”
I’m sure there will be some good interviews this time, in his royal future. Got to go to those feeling deserving!

I'm wondering why tf I got an interview. Low, unimpactful research. Maybe mission fit? But I don't fit their mission either. This process is nuts.
You deserve it man we’re all rooting for you! From what I’ve seen you improved your application in so many ways from last cycle. The real question is why you wouldn’t get an interview!

is it worth it to submit my primary now? i'd be able to turn around the secondary in a day
