2024-2025 Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine (RVUCOM-Montana)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi everyone! Is rejection from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine-Colorado/Utah also mean rejection from Montana camps? I received pre II rejection from Colorado/Utah at the end of January, but nothing from Montana campus. I was wondering if anyone got rejected from Colorado/Utah, but received II from Montana camps?
No they’re separate admissions processes

people who submitted the matriculation agreement and deposit...the precheck thing just needs to be started not completed correct?

Anybody that interviewed on March 5th, did you get an acceptance answer today? I know they were supposed to make decisions on the 17th and then let us know on the 21st (today)

This is a goofy question, but what have you heard about the federal loan and accreditation situation with the school? Im so worried about the loans...

I got a “Accepted Pending Space” email on the 21st (interviewed on March 3rd). In the email they said most people matriculate in the year the applied but if not I am guaranteed a spot for Class of 2030. Has anyone else gotten this, and what should I expect?

For incoming students (or those currently attending). I'm a RVU-Colorado grad from 2015 living in Billings practicing radiology. I've got a duplex in Billings that is a 2 bed 2 bath w/fenced in back yard in the center/west of the city. Other side tenant is a 70 y/o single female who is a relative of mine and a very quiet/easy neighbor. Thought this might be a good option for a student looking to have their own space a few minutes from the rvu campus. It's not exactly fancy but it is in a safe part of town and rent is very reasonable, even for a med student. Can send me a private message if you're interested.

When I moved to Billings 4 years ago after training, I had a hard time finding rentals that were pet friendly and since this has a fenced in back yard (separate/divided fences for each part of duplex) thought I'd mention it here in case someone was interested. Having gone through the med school process and landing an Ivy league radiology residency afterwards, I'd also be happy to answer questions or discuss strategy to get you to the residency of your choice.

Cheers!

For accepted students, is there a deadline to withdraw your seat? Currently waiting to hear back from 2 schools post interview..

Wow I did not know this was even an option. I interview next week and hope this is my case. Do you have any tips for the interview?

be yourself, and you'll be fine. they're all really nice and it's 1 on 1. it's open file so they will probably ask you something about your app.

yes, they do provisional acceptances with guarantees for class of 2030 but there will definitely be a lot of movement off that list into the class of 2029.

As silly as it sounds, just be yourself. We had a little extra time at the end of my interview and my interviewer and I ended up talking about gardening. I felt like the interview went really fast and was worried I didn’t do well because I wasn’t sure I got everything across that I was trying to convey, but the interviewers definitely try to make you feel super comfortable and feel like a conversation and not an intense interview.

Current first year student happy to answer any questions!

How late RVUCOM Montana will conduct interviews? In other words when the interviews will end? Appreciate a reply.

Im currently on the Accepted Pending Space list, should I be joining any of the accepted student groups that MCOM has (like the facebook group) or wait for the official phone call? Just trying to be the most prepared I can be.
