i stayed at a holiday inn near the medical district. literally like 3 blocks from the campus, you can see it from the hotel. not the cheapest place ever, but not super expensive. there's a motel6 near the campus that was pretty cheap, wasn't too sure about the safety though.

Can you please help me understand how waitlist work? I am so confused as this is my first application cycle. For example, why is BUCOM giving out provisional acceptance even though the class is not full? Why not give out actual acceptance?
I don't think the school uses a Waitlist Process at all as of right now. They only seem to be giving out Acceptances, Provisional Acceptances, and Rejections after interviews. Acceptance = Matriculation for Fall 2025, Provisional Acceptance = Matriculation for Fall 2026, Rejection = No Matriculation at BUCOM. As for why some people got Acceptances after people got Provisional Acceptances, idk. It could stem from interviewees not being from the Mid-South Region (Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia. Arkansas and Mississippi are also included in the schools mission), it could stem from interview day, or it could stem from Stats still being a factor for Post-II decisions. At the end of the day it’s speculation but that’s just my working theory for now.

the class is not full yet. there's also no waitlist, so everyone interviewing has a legitimate chance at the remaining spots, not just a WL offer. if you're a relatively strong applicant, i think it would be worth doing. they're still interviewing and they probably will be as there will be movement.
My MCAT is not strong at all, but I believe the rest of my app is though. Thanks!

Not OP but it took me one month to get a secondary and another month to get an interview. You might have better luck tho and get a response sooner haha
