Waitlisted, Interviewed 2/24. Anyone know what's the waitlist movement is like and if I should be calling or emailing to reaffirm my intent on going?
I was wondering the same thing! Also, seems like there is waitlist movement? Someone in here got off so that's good 🙂

I hope i'm a part of it, this is my top choice DO when I made my pros and cons list with other schools on my list. Managed to scrounge up 2k sitting in my account right now for that deposit lol

Does anyone know if the docusign registration form is binding? They said we have 14 days to sign it but I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to this school yet... (I already paid the deposit though).

they said there should be good waitlist movement and to be patient, i have my fingers crossed bc i was also waitlisted :')

i know theres alot of discussion about waitlist movement and just wanted say last year I was put on an interview waitlist back in december 2023/ jan 2024 and i was given a last min interview 1.5 weeks before school actually started! and i was given the A the day after my interview. Its not over till its over, especially with DO schools so good luck everyone.

510 MCAT, 3.9 GPA from top 20 school, Nevada resident, good LoRs, decent writing, good extracurriculars for primary care. But I just submitted my secondary/supplemental application earlier this month.

Does anyone think I have a good chance this cycle, or did I apply too late?

Also, how long did you guys have to wait for an II after submitting your secondaries?
April is really late, but theres nothing to do except wait and see. Best of luck to you. I got my II 7 months after sending in my secondary but you will probably hear back earlier if theyre gonna interview you

I also applied super late (submitted secondary 3/1) and they gave me a II invite about a week later. I saw last year on sdn they were interviewing until June.

Anybody else get the MHS email with “Although we don’t have an update on your status…”?

Does it happen to be the same awesome Tuscan Highlands apartment complex I’ve been eyeing? If not, go look it up!
Not this one but man it does look awesome. I was eyeing Evora Vegas more b/c I'm looking for loft style if I can manage to find one. If I don't get one there I'm definitely gonna go w your rec for Tuscan!

I had another thought, does anyone think it's possible that they might not like their waitlist and start pulling applicants for next cycle to fill the incoming class? Or is it more likely that they went through the whole waitlist THEN start pulling from next cycle? I'm starting to panic a little bit since I still have 2 WL but no As and the thought of reapplication is scaring the hell out of me right now

i’d imagine they would likely pull from the waitlist before pulling from the next cycle. if they didnt like you they wouldve rejected you, not WL’d you. good luck!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this way lol, let’s hope ecobio is right 🫶

Honestly, I think they will go through the whole waitlist.
Came here to post that I was on the INTERVIEW waitlist since October. I just got an II this morning 5/1 The only date they have left is May 13, I don't know if I'll do it.

Does anyone have information on clinical rotation sites? Thank you.

I am on the WL (IS) and curious about this.

Also interviewed on 4/24, but haven't heard anything yet. Is there an email sent to confirm that you're on the waitlist/have been rejected or do we just wait for the portal to update?

Withdrew A. I liked meeting Dean Gilliar lol and I think the programs match outcomes are darn good for an osteopathic school. Hopefully I’ll see yall in residency or a conference one day!

I’m not sure if it was addressed in the interview sessions, but did they say anything about if/how Roseman starting their classes this year would affect 3rd and 4th year rotations?
Wasn’t mentioned in my interview or the tour I went to, honestly though I’m not too worried about it. In reality the WORST case scenario would be doing rotations outside of Vegas in my mind, and you already have to do that at most other DO schools anyways, I think that’s unlikely to happen though.

I would hope that the number of slots increase at each clinical site. I will ask the Roseman staff about this (hoping to get a clear concise answer and let yall know)

The clearest answer I got was “Roseman will get priority bc it’s a MD school” I’m hoping it works out for everyone studying medicine in LV

I’m going to be honest, answers like that really rub me the wrong way. When discussing the curriculum during the first information session something like “we have a structured curriculum, this isn’t a DO school” was said and I immediately doubted whether I wanted to even submit a secondary to them..

That’s not an answer. That’s not how that works. TUN has been around for YEARS and is very well established is the Las Vegas Valley. Idk. That just really rubs me the wrong way, personally.

That being said, I’m super happy for all of you that have gotten the A and are going to be doctors!

Yeah honestly that bugged me too. I will say as a person who had the Touro NV A and Roseman A, i vibed with Touro NV more. The side comments from Roseman’s admin were not it. I was expecting TUN to take priority. I’m very surprised. Personally I think generating physicians should be a team effort and things like this should not happen

Edit: I think it’s worth asking Dean Gilliar about this. If I end up getting a phone call I’ll ask lol. I sent an email to withdraw bc idk how else to do it, but I don’t think they’ve seen my email yet.

A counterpoint is that the making of Roseman COM has been going on for a long af time (since 2017), so I think Dean Gilliar + team would have set some good plans in place for the TUNCOM students. @flightparamaybe for sure, this is not entirely coming out of the blue.

Completely agree! Regardless of where we end up, we will be physicians and comments like that perpetuate a stigma that should be LONG dead at this point. To completely disrespect a very established school like that with connections in the Valley is a very unprofessional thing to do. It completely discredits the work of OMS and DOs that save lives in their respective fields every single day. My grandfather was a physician and happened to be a DO. I’m now going to be a DO. The comments just felt very disrespectful.

That’s all I’m going to say because I don’t want people to come for me lol. I’m so happy that you got the A to both schools and you’re going to be happy and a physician! Congratulations!

Was at the interview session today with TUNCOM and a few people asked about Roseman! The Dean and Dr who spoke about curriculum said that they are not losing sleep over Roseman entering the pool. They said that they have a common goal of making physicians for Nevada and that TUNCOM has hospital agreements & partnerships that have been established for a long time that won’t just go away. In addition, they added that TUNCOM still makes more physicians in general than other LV schools combined. I loved my interview with TUNCOM!! Their curriculum is DEF established. I’ve also been to the Roseman info sesh and their attitude towards DO was so off-putting to me.. especially since some DO schools have been around for a super long time.
