Just had my interview here, one with an M4 and one with a faculty member! Both really laidback and not at all stressful, good luck to everyone!!

Is there a difference between the open house next week for out-of-state and the open house for those who got interviewed that is scheduled for the end of this month?

The schedule is the same for both. The event on the 10th is for any non-Florida applicant who wants to learn more about our program. There will be students there who have been interviewed, who will be interviewing and who are still being evaluated. The other is for applicants who have been invited to interview. Both will be valuable events. If you have been invited to interview and had already RSVP'd to the event on the 10th and made travel arrangements there is no real need to change to the 24th. You will have the same experience.

Can you please elaborate on how this event is “valuable” for applicants who haven’t received interview invites? It seems like a big commitment for applicants to travel from out of state for just cookies n’ punch. I’m genuinely asking.

this is all im operating off of, could be different for each person!
 
We have had many requests from applicants asking for opportunities to visit. While we already offer a monthly tour to anyone who is interested, we thought it would be nice to expand the event to include time with faculty, students, activities in the simulation lab, in some of our clinical sites and more to those who have applied. Being a newer medical school, there are applicants who may benefit from an in-person visit to see all we have to offer. We have heard time and time again how an applicant's interest increased once they visited in-person. If that is not personally of value of you, you are welcome to wait to see if you are invited to interview and you may attend an in-person visit for interviewed applicants in the future.

Not necessarily. It just depends on where you are on the list. I will send more specifics regarding placement on the list in November, when there are more people on it and I can more accurately identify likelihood of acceptance over time.
 
In what order are applications processed/viewed? I've been complete since 7/2 but have had no response yet
 
finally hearing back from Florida schools! +1 OOS II with strong ties to FL
