do you know if going to the in-person visit over the online carries any benefit app wise?
Attending a virtual information session or an in person visit will not impact your admission decision in any way. The purpose is to provide information to the applicant. I do not report to the Admissions Committee who attended any of our events.

I was referring to the mandatory visit. Since we have the option of going online or in-person.

Does anyone know if there is a second look for accepted/WL students? Or is it just the optional in person visit listed on AMP?

when is the in person opportunity to go?
We have had them monthly for interviewed applicants. If you have been interviewed you'll see the dates on the secondary site. I believe the February date has space. If not, we will do another one in May.

I've been on the alternate list since the very first day (October 15) and this is my top choice. Do any current students have advice for alternates? Each month I've received news of being in a strong position upper 1/3 but the waiting can be so hard.

Are you IS?

Not a current student, but am in the same boat as you (WL in mid-October, e-mails every month of top third). According to the 2023-2024 thread, UCF pulled a good chunk of the middle third. If this cycle is anything like the last one, I'll see you in Lake Nona in August.

Just hang in there! The waiting is painful, I know. Unfortunately I don't have advice that will help this - I wish it wasn't that way. UCF is at least very transparent with monthly updates and your position on the waitlist! Admissions will also answer any emails gladly.
Most waitlist movement happens in April to May as students with multiple acceptances are required to narrow their choices, so I would say that it isn't unusual for you to not have heard back yet.

I think I just added them to my FAFSA. I believe there was an email I got a bit ago with the info on what they wanted
interviewed in January and was told that I’m high on the waitlist. Just out of curiosity (I know it might not apply to me), but do they give OOS, in-state tuition rates?

Any idea when the last committee meeting was? Last update email said applicants could potentially come off the WL after the meeting?
