Anyone else still have waiting on materials status? I submitted 8/7

so more traditional behavioral interview questions? It sounds like behavioral questions but they they say 'think on your feet' and 'MMI style'

Also does this mean that the virtual session will be just that... an informational session and not an interview?

Their two-pronged process is kinda confusing me lol
the email says "MMI team work task". I'm aware of MMI teamwork stations that are done in person, but I'm unsure how this is done through zoom. Is anyone who interviewed at wake able to provide some insight? TIA

anyone elses setup for the virtual pre-recorded interview stuck on 'Connecting with your camera and microphone'?

anybody here do the virtual MMI and have any advice? Getting nervous....

Preparing for my virtual assessment-- For those who are in the same boat, what did you wear? Interview attire like a suit or just casual dress clothes?

Is the virtual session just the teamwork activity and a Q and A session or is there more interview questions to come?

Is the Q and A session a group session or is it individual (like you and an interviewer)?

If anyone could answer this I would be super grateful TYSM!!

I wore interview attire for my virtual assessment. I think it's probably better to err on the safe side, and it never hurts to dress business casual!

There will be a small group interview question during the session with a few fellow applicants. Attire for the virtual information session is business casual, and most wore interview attire. There will be a time for applicants to ask F/A and current students follow-up questions.

They are super friendly, and the group activity was actually pretty fun. Just take a deep breath and be yourself 🙂

Hello Everyone,
What kind of questions to expect in this virtual assessment session, MMI style questions, or more traditional style interview questions? I am little nervous about this.

Anyone else ED waitlist? What does that even mean?
ED waitlist
I'm kind of confused about why/how ED applicants can get WL. If they keep you WL for the whole cycle (or even just part of it), then don't you have an opportunity to apply to other schools? Or are you able to apply to other schools now?

Also confused, but they release you to apply to other schools. Disappointing though that we likely won't hear from Wake now until May

If they don’t accept you ED you are released to apply to other schools
Being put on the WL means they liked you but want to compare you to incoming applicants before deciding yea or nay

Hey guys. About to do the virtual interview. Does anyone know if you need to use all five minutes to answer or can you cut the answer short when you are done talking?

It’s always good to stop talking when you have said what you have to say

Hey guys! I just had a quick general question. I am a reapplicant from NC and I applied last cycle, only got a couple interviews then was waitlisted and didn't get off (no II at wake tho). I reapplied this cycle and have had a lot more luck with a lot of IIs so far including all the other in state schools, however, I still haven't heard anything back from Wake. Wake has been one of my top choices so I was wondering if anyone knows what type of applicant in particular Wake is looking for? This is mostly just for my own curiosity but if anyone has any insights I would love to know!

Tbh i wonder if they’d avoid people that would be strong candidates for admission at unc bc considering wake is way more expensive and not as highly ranked im sure there aren’t many people who gain admission at both and go to wake unless scholarship money comes into play

Wake Forest gets 12000+ applicants per year
Duke gets 8000
UNC gets around 6000
ECU gets around 1200

On sheer volume alone, the chances of interviewing with WF is much lower. When I toured the school, the admissions rep STRONGLY RECCOMENDED if you're interested in attending WF, apply early decision because it is so competitive. Don't let the 512 MCAT and 3.7 GPA (or whatever it is) average fool ya, WF gotta turn hella people away.

Last cycle, however, I had one IS friend get accepted to WF, UNC, and ECU.
Another IS friend got accepted to UNC and ECU, WL at WF.
Another IS friend at Duke now (A's from UNC + ECU as well) got rejected from WF, no interview no nothing.
Go figure.

Just going to add that ECU has received 2200 applications this current cycle (1600~ last year) according to their admissions team.

Hi guys, has anyone done the virtual assessment and could provide some info about it? ie. how many questions, how long they give you to think about your answer before you record your response, tricky question they asked, etc.

Just a heads up that sharing interview questions is often a violation of school’s interview policies and a big no-no. It’s best to just read the questions listed on the schools specific SDN page.

Yes, IMO it’s also incredibly unfair to other applicants to share that type of information. Everyone should show up to interview day on as even of a playing field as possible.

From last years thread it seems that decisions went out right on the 16th, (aka tomorrow for this cycle) so hoping for good news for all of us that have interviewed so far!
Yup! Website also says decisions start rolling out on the 16th, so that’s one more day of peace lol

Is this for folks from the earliest interviews or anyone who has interviewed up until this point?
