If you mean post II, your waitlist email should have mentioned that you supposedly gain a step up from others on the WL by uploading a letter of interest/intent. If that's the case, definitely get on that. If you mean waitlisted prior to interview, I don't think it could hurt assuming that the spot to upload a LOI is still available on the applicant portal and isn't just added after interviewing.

Wake Forest is among the schools that want you to complete a CSS profile for further financial aid consideration. Following completion, the student is informed if any of their cooperating schools require document upload (W2, 1040, 1099, etc): this is the IDOC service. After I was prompted to use IDOC by a different school, the webpage specifically mentioned that Wake Forest does not participate in this service, while Wake Forest's webpage says that it does. I was asking if anyone here has any further knowledge on meeting Wake Forest's March 15th deadline for CSS.

CSS took me about a month to work my way through. I just need to upload the IDOC files, but JHU just turned me down (no surprise), and they were the only ones demanding IDOC file upload. So now I am honestly unsure whether to do so.

I just called financial aid. The person who answered was extremely kind and helpful; she said Wake Forest is not using IDOC. She confessed she is new to the job so she confirmed with someone above her, and they are not using IDOC. So according to her, our financial aid responsibilities are done following submission of FAFSA and CSS. She even took the time to confirm that they received my CSS profile, which I told her was unnecessary, but it was still nice to have confirmation that they see it on their end.
For anyone working on CSS for Wake Forest: according to their financial aid office (March 7), they are not using IDOC this year for incoming students. CSS mentions that Wake Forest is not participating in document upload, but Wake Forest's website contradicts that at at least one location. I am deferred post interview myself, but this should be helpful for the March 15th financial aid "deadline."

Do we wait until April 15th (when aid offers come out) to negotiate financial offers or can we do it now if we have multiple acceptances?

Same, emailed asking about it today since they had mentioned status update by end of Feb. Submitted secondary in like august
They emailed me back with confirmation that the interview cycle is closed (for those who haven't received an update yet)
Glad you heard back. I still haven't heard if they have separate waitlists for each campus or if people getting off waitlist are just assigned one. Does anyone know?

You'll most likely be assigned one after wait-list movement, with the option of filing an appeal for the other campus.

For people who submitted letters of interest or intent on the portal, did you get any sort of confirmation that it was received? I uploaded mine a while back and havent heard anything, just want to make sure its in the right place, thanks

Is it worth submitting CSS after the deadline? I am waitlisted FYI.

I was under the impression you could not submit after the deadline and that all waitlisted students needed to submit if they were interested. I could be completely wrong though, it may be good to email admissions and see
I could still be considered for admission though, right? Just not any need-based scholarships.
Yeah you would still be considered for admissions for sure, just not need-based scholarships

Does anyone know if Wake actually gives financial aid? Like beyond what you would get federally? I'm an admitted student and I'd really like to attend but without any help from home and cheaper in state options it is kind of unfeasible for me.
If you filled out the CSS app and fafsa by their deadline I believe they will consider you for need based scholarships and I think you will get a notification on what they plan to give you by Mid april. If you didnt fill out both CSS and fasfa I believe they will not consider you for any needs based scholarship. They have merit scholarships too I think but I do not know much about them.

Waiting for that April 15th date anxiously...has anyone received any scholarships yet or do they all come out on that date? Ive heard other schools release them as part of the acceptance letter.
I got sent an email/call with one a couple of weeks ago but I think they send them at all different times.

Wake does an unranked waitlist, I believe, so technically we cannot be "high/low". When I called them, they said they meet and look over every single waitlisted student every time they send out A's from the WL.

any idea how many people are on the waitlist?
I swear I sent an update letter but got an email today reminding me to upload one to stay on the waitlist. If I did not see one uploaded in the portal I likely just forgot to upload it.
I emailed after to upload and explained the situation and they just responded that they confirmed the letter uploaded today.

This happened to me too. I thought I uploaded in February but checked again today and didn't see it so i reuploaded Again
