So for the fellow people that haven’t heard back yet, did we survive mass rejections or have there not been many Rs yet and there’ll be a huge one soon?
Admit.org shows only 7.5% of applicants have been rejected so far. Keep in mind that's self-reported. Last year the vast majority of rejections were reported in March (mostly March 3 - March 12).

Oh ok that makes sense lol I expected an R anyways bc I feel like most schools that do rolling admissions and say they’re still considering u till the end r Bsing esp without an interview

Just got my last-minute OOS II for Mar 5th (Milwaukee), probably an angel just cancelled their interview.

Any last-minute advices about the general vibe/tips of their 1-on-1 interviews? For sure have to do a lot of homework tomorrow.. (all my past interviews were MMI-type, and I got only WLs/Delayed decisions/alternate lists so far) Thank you!
The best advice I got from a current MCW student at the info session the night before my interview is that they don't want to interview people they don't want to accept - be confident that they are interested in you and that they want to accept you, just be yourself in the interview, treat it as a conversation, maintain professionalism, and (cannot emphasize this enough) just be yourself! I listened to a couple podcasts the day before which helped me hone in the "why medicine" and "why our school" pieces that almost all interviewers from any school will ask you. My interview at MCW was very chill and I loved chatting with my interviewers, ended up getting the A to MKE campus 🙂

Would be nice, but if history is any indication, probably won’t know till May based on what I’ve read. I’m WL at MKE too.

I’ve read that MCW accepts around 50 off WL but unsure if that’s in totality across their 3 campuses or for each.
If that's true, it would have to be across the 3 campuses since the class size for GB and Central WI is 24 while Milwaukee's is around 200. Hope you get one!!

Hi friends, when did you usually receive all those zoom links before your interview?

I received a last minute II yesterday evening for an interview spot this Thursday, I can see my interviewer’s names this afternoon, but I have not yet received any zoom links for their 3 events on the schedule (evening interviewee social, morning programming, and afternoon interviews).

Just emailed the admission office early today but didn’t hear back. I guess I will call them tomorrow (unless that is normal and they usually sent out links late), or do you have another email contact except medschool@mcw that I should reach out to?

Thanks

My first interviewer said the interview was a formality and they really just wanna see that you’re a person that can hold a normal conversation. I had more time to ask questions and talk to them about whatever I wanted than questions they had for me. Just be yourself!

For anyone interviewing today, have you been able to get into the zoom? It says waiting for host to start the meeting for me.

Anyone know when OOS WL movement typically occurs for MCW-Milkwaukee? Sent in a LOI recently and just wanted to gauge a timeline of when I could possibly hear back. Someone on admit said they let in a few before May but wanted to confirm. My only MD possibility right now so Im really hoping for an A

Hi everyone! When I interviewed for MD-PhD in late February they said we'd hear back by March 23rd. Have any of you heard back from them yet?

I believe that the 23rd was for the MD portion of decisions, but that we would hear back from MD/PhD committee sometime later (unspecified date). I heard back from MD but nothing from MD/PhD still.

Considering that they were interviewing into mid March I think it makes sense they haven’t started pulling from WL yet. In my (very biased) opinion we should start to see a little late April and a lot in May as people lock in their schools. Good luck to all my WL homies
