So I see orientation starts June 28, does this mean we are going to be grandfathered in prior to big beautiful bill? So will we not have capped $50k federal loans annually? The videos they have on financial aid seems like the BBB will cap us at $50k, it’s confusing.

Wondering this too! I’ve heard that some schools aren’t “publicly” announcing these changes as to not get flagged. Maybe something we should follow up with MCW’s financial aid department about

I was wondering the same bc I saw someone post/comment on admit.org saying that MCW's starting school early on so that the incoming students will be grandfathered in. From the financial aid info that was sent in the email on 11/24 they didn't mention anything about this, so I think def something that ppl would need to ask the financial aid department in the upcoming months.

I didn’t see it in their A email, but someone earlier in this thread said this, “admissions staff should reach out to you with a link to an accepted students groupme created by upperclassmen here at MCW. im not sure if this has been made yet but keep an eye out!”

So I guess we keep an eye out and see?
 
I just logged onto the portal and just want to make sure. We don't have to pay a deposit or "accept" our offer until April 30th? I know other schools require you to accept the offer within two weeks so I thought it was a little odd that MCW lets you wait 4 months.

yeah, no need to pay anything now. It's probably because it is not refundable.

Anyone knows whether we can be grandfathered into grad plus loan given the start date is before July?

Not sure. The financial aid video they have on the pre-matriculation page makes it seem like the BBB will cap us at $50k.
