+1 OOS, to add, the last 5 prompts all had the same character limit of 1500 characters

First OOS II today, 7/31! Does anyone have tips about interviews?

OOS (but strong family ties) rejection 9/2 😭

Has anyone gotten an acceptance letter yet? I applied ED and was deferred to regular pool, and maybe this is overly optimistic but I haven’t seen any postings of acceptances anywhere so maybe they deferred all ED applicants due to still sorting out the details with the new Kearney campus?

They said they don’t send acceptances until March.

Unless what I’m wondering is true, they still would have sent out acceptances for ED. I just haven’t seen any acceptance postings for ED or regular cycle on any platform

Oh, snap. We really gotta wait until March???? Per cycletrack, last year, there were many acceptances sent out Dec. 27th.

I am not sure about the early decision program, but if you are on the regular pool, this is what they explained on interview day. You will not hear anything until Spring. They accept updates and they explained the details about sending updates, but I am pretty sure no one will be getting any decision until they sit and review applications this coming Spring.

They sent the results out for the EDP on October 1st. Some were admitted, some were pushed into the RDP. Last year, I did the EDP and was then denied from the RDP in January. A lot is up in the air when it comes to when they reach out.

Decisions will be provided December 2025-March 2026. All decisions will be released by email no later than March 13, 2026.

This is verbatim from the Admissions FAQ’s they send you after your interview.

I haven't received any word from Admissions since submitting the one-page update letter on Dec. 10th. As a nontraditional student, UNMC is my top choice out of the three schools I've interviewed at this cycle. Per CycleTrack, decisions were released piecemeal last January. Would it be advisable to send a Letter of Intent before New Year's to convey to the Admissions Committee that UNMC is my top choice and that I'd attend, given the chance? Any advice would be most appreciated here.

From my understanding, I don't think they accept any communications like letters of intent aside from that one update letter opportunity in December. The admissions team said acceptances would come out in January/February with only a very small number of people hearing in December so as much as you can, I would try not to stress too much and have confidence in your interview + update letter!
