Day 2

It's not that I think I'm smarter than everyone else in Rapture. It's that I am. I hardly need plasmids to make myself useful to Frank Fontaine, but they do give me a nice edge. My real talent lies in my powers of perception...and my honest face.

Since she'd only spliced a couple of times, her deformities were minimal, and the doctor had been able to fix them up. This was before he went a little...mad. Early days, you know. And she'd been with Fontaine Futuristics ever since. No one in Athena's Glory suspected. They couldn't help it - she was smart, beautiful, charismatic. They had no idea that she was spying on them at night.

But a spy is only as good as her ability to stay hidden, and she'd attracted the attention of an old friend. Someone who knew her face, from before. The other residents of Athena's Glory turned on her, and soon all of Dr. Steinman's hard work had been reversed.

when i read someone's iso's i read the posts without their commentary first, as if its my own iso (its lazy, i have no excuse for that lol)
especially shorty's iso's. they tend to be very comprehensive
i then read through the comments with the commentary of the person who actually did the iso and assess if i like agree or disagree
and then i think the doing an iso of their interactions before i had a solid footing on my genny read was actually ok to do, but i can understand your perspective on it. pack hunting definitely messes up stuff sometimes, but in this specific instance, i think it was valuable. especially with how the interactions proceeded throughout the day, it was helpful to me to see how they interacted and let that give me more info for the reads on either of them.
i might iso trilt to see what i think there and develop that read a bit more, but im struggling to see the point when im pretty sure im gettin yotted tonight in a way where i don't think i can convince all y'all im village. if i live until tomorrow i'll definitely iso trilt but i dont see that happening. i also kinda agree with some people's ideas that my flip will better inform everyone. plus i kinda wanna go party in the deadchat.

Doctor discretion. Probably about half are, half aren't. We have an infectious disease exam room that has outdoor access that from in there goes directly into our isolation ward. We were using that room for euth because of the outdoor access (minimizes clients moving through the hospital), but some ground swell during winter screwed the door until spring thaw so now it's vestibule only. That's tough because it's our only entry/exit for animals, so if I tie it up doing a euth and some crisis case crashes through the door ... real awkward.

I <was> doing euth for people that presented, let me work up their case, and then they decided to euthanize. If people called ahead, I was declining in-person euth. To me that balanced compassion: people who weren't expecting to lose their pet could still do in-person, people who were could call around to other facilities, and it let me minimize my risk. (I have some chronic pulmonary issues that put me somewhat at higher risk.)

But in my experience, literally at least 50% of the people who are explicitly told twice in the process that they are required to wear a mask covering their mouth and nose the entire time they are in the facility .... still take it off when it comes time to euth.

So now (because people can't seem to keep their masks on and because of the entry/exit issue) I'm considering just going to a hard pass, at least until I'm vaccinated. Which apparently won't be until about 2050 here in Minnesota, where veterinarians are apparently considered about as important as, um, well, nobody.

Also as for why I moved from Zenge to mkg , I did notice Zenge had some scummy things in his iso but I didnt have as much conviction in my read on him as compared to the read on mkg , quite possibly because when I last looked at the game , Zenge's vote was having very little resistance. I kind of wish you'd sat on this and talked to Zen a bit longer. Having a wolf who you know is sketch, can watch the voting patterns and has an open conversation with you is absolutely a rare event and I absolutely would have played along for a bit myself.

I also think mkg is a kind of interesting first night seer for a wolfpack and that makes me want to look at their suspicions a bit more. There had been a non-zero amount of shade in that direction and being an almost totally new player that's not usually the first place people look.

yeah, as you've seen, you can take a village lead and just encourage people to vote for your suspect. LIS does it, as does AM and numerous others. It doesn't always work out of course, but that's what it means to be a leader. You don't have to out yourself necessarily going that route instead. You may still end up dead, but not because they know 100percent you have a role. haha

I don't disagree. But also consider that for me it is <very> close contact and it's <lots> of people and they have incentive to be dishonest about their own exposure (nobody wants to say "why yes, I have covid" and get told they can't be present) and there is a LOT of upper respiratory discharge going on (tears, crying, sniffling, sneezing, etc.) and I have chronic pulmonary issues and as an ER doc I euthanize a LOT of pets.

All it takes is one to take me out of commission.

It is the way it is. If people would just wear their damn masks like I ask them to, that'd probably be enough. But when I say 50% I am not kidding. And they are told TWICE before the procedure (by me and my staff) very, very explicitly what the expectations are (along with signage) and it's still not enough.

Given all that ... too bad so sad. I gave people a chance. I do feel bad for the good folks out there; but I don't feel like <I'm> ruining it for them, I feel like they can thank all the folks who just can't follow a simple rule.

That just absolutely sucks. For clients, for you, ugh. And 100% agree, at least half end up losing the mask as things get snotty and teary and just sad so that's not the focus anymore.

We were in the general population until our state VMA threw a fit, and now we're in ag/public health worker and starting vaccines now... definitely makes me more comfortable in general with working more closely with the public.

If there's one thing going to friendship therapy ( from kindergarten thru 4th grade taught me, it is that you dont want to hurt someone's heart with unkind words, and when you do, it is important you apologize even if you dont understand why the words were unkind.

I probably would have been blissfully unaware too, until 5 minutes to yeet close when she comes on with a flurry of posts to meet requirements, a suspicious amount of thread knowledge, and vote to make a tie. I’m not sure my stomach lining can take the chaos that is MsP.

Migrated MsP more village (despite not a ton of content from her that's convincing yet) because this was an early on post and I don't necessarily see it w/w.

Genny is my strongest, followed by Kata.

Weaker reads: I still really don’t like how Jaboo attacked me for literally just being on the thread at yeet close. (I know April disagreed that it was an attack, you might too, but it’s hard for me to interpret that situation any other way, and is still not answering my questions about it and providing reads so I’m not going to let it go, but I’m willing to realize it might just be a personal bias at this point.

Not feeling great about Chaos’s lack of thread presencebut whatever, not at the top of the list or anything, and he does seem to be wolf hunting when he is here. I’d still like to see more though.

I was leaning pretty heavily on Cyndia for pushing MKG for a bad reason (at least I think so) and then doubling down on it, but I’m feeling a little better about her after posting the reads list she did.

MsP is still someone I’m keeping my eye on, but I was pleasantly surprised by her coming on and posting reads and contributing to the conversation more than what I was expecting. I’m glad to be wrong on that.

I’d like to see sporty, prints, and Vis all catch up and contribute more.

This is kind of a nothing statement because he listed a whole lot of people, but there's prob at least one wolf in this all.

I've pushed genny more village because of how he was pushing her pretty intensely over multiple days, but he also backed off so fast when she posted wolf reads that it caught my eye. Not as much of a clear as I'd sometimes assume.

So after iso'ing Sporty given Zenge being a wolf, I'm gonna accept one of the two:

1) Either Sporty is playing a fine wolf game; or

2) I have to eat my words.

Sporty was fairly consistent about Zenge being top of her list.

For now, I'll go with 2.

I am going into my Fri/Sat/Sun of work, so there's a good chance I don't even make minimum post count. As always, I abide the LIS rule and expect nobody to grant me grace for this, but it's still the truth.

I was going to go back and argue that Sporty's posts were all after n1 and thus if they were notified of the seering, it could be a cover... but no, she was pretty much pushing Zen from the getgo. Definitely more comfortable leaving that be for a while.

Lol I remembered there are several people on the thread who weren't here the couple of times ive mentioned it and maybe saw friendship therapy and now think i am a deeply disturbed person.
I'm ridin' the spectrum, and Behavioral Skills Therapy was a big part of my childhood- but how do you tell a 7 year old that they're doing BST? You tell them it's friendship lessons/friendship therapy
so deeply disturbed? quite the opposite. aloof and unaware of when i say mean things sometimes🙂

Okay well I think it’s late enough to spill the beans. I’ve been agonizing over how to approach this since I received my night results and I was hoping to do this in a subtle way that would allow me to stay alive, but between my one village read in my PM group (April) dying and the PM zenge sent me I know this is probably the only way that I can bring a wolf down

Zenge is 100% a wolf. I had suspicions and investigated him last night cycle and he came back wolf. My plan was to get April on my side to help me get him yeeted without me revealing myself, but that plan obviously completely disintegrated. Then after I started questioning zenge on thread he sent me a PM trying to tell me he knew MKG was village because he was a seer (which was a good chuckle for me) clearly trying to pocket me.

I figured he was going to use it as a role reveal tonight if he was up for yeet, which pretty much puts the nail in the coffin for me, because I have to reveal, but that’s okay because at least I can bring a wolf down and hopefully enough discussion has been generated that village can narrow their POEs tomorrow.

I would be looking at people who were hedging on zenge and voting either genny or pleasy because I think they were the counter wagons

I haven’t looked too much into Lupin and Trilt, but I’m worried about Trilt too.

So please yeet zenge. I think we especially need to know his role, and if he does somehow have seering capabilities I think that puts the extra factions as very likely and would honestly change everything.
