Hmmm.

Is anyone having issues logging into TMDSAS? I need to finish one of the essays and check everything over. How am I supposed to do that when I keep getting

"A System Error Has Occurred!" every time I click this log in button! lol. Bah.

I was having that problem earlier using Firefox. I switched to Internet Explorer and it worked fine. 😕

I think it might be for after they have processed and reviewed the application. Under the Application Process Overview tab on their website, #6 says:
All applicants must confirm their applicant information on the College of Veterinary Medicine Applicant Site (www.cvm.tamu.edu/applicantsite). The applicant confirmation page can be found at the menu at the top of the site. Application information must be confirmed by December 21st.


So regardless, it looks like they have time to fix the kink or we can't see anything until they've processed our application.
 
eek! anyone else freak out when they get this after they've been working on the application for a while and are close to completing it....
 
A&M should really just go back to the VMCAS service...

@Lemming, it seemed to work for me if you hit the back button and tried again, I never lost anything that way but it really started to piss me off so I didn't get to finish it last night. Might give that a shot if you keep running into that while trying to finish it.

Ha implying, I'm born and raised... I KNOW we are!

I just had a minor fit on the phone with my mom over having to cut a check instead of being able to pay online. Sad part is I knew that all along and I've waited this long to do it. At least now the only outstanding stuff for TMDSAS is two letters (-_-) and my payment, yay!

I'm also surprised at the GPA it calculated for me, so I guess that helped a little lol.

Don't forget you have to send another check directly to A&M, too. It's really annoying that you can't pay these fees online.

My checks went in the mail today, which means I'm officially done. Yay! 😀:xf:

So last year I forgot to submit my TMDSAS until about an hour before the deadline (literally). I had submitted my VMCAS but forgot to do TMDSAS as well and was sitting there on September 30th at 11:00 going "Wait..I submitted right? Let me check....OH ****!" I got it submitted on time (obviously..) but then saw the check part. I was thinking surely I can just credit card it instantly right? Nope, check only, and it has to be post-marked by midnight.

So there I am at 11:00 PM on a weekday night scrambling to find some way to postmark this damn check/letter in an hours time (turns out they'll give you a day or two of leeway, in case anyone's curious). All the business's were closed that had business centers (like HEB and Wal-Mart), so they couldn't do it and, long story short, eventually ended up buying 20 electronic postage stamps through the USPS that you can print onto envelopes. Thus I got it printed (and thus officially post marked) at 11:57 PM CST.

So, to everyone out there: DON'T FORGET YOU HAVE TO SEND A CHECK! Don't wait until the last minute: it's not fun. And if you do wait til the last minute, go to the USPS website first.

Not funny at the time, totally funny right now. I'm debating on whether or not I will be safe dropping them in the regular snail mail right now, but I'm at least going to go pay an extra dollar and get delivery confirmation slapped on it so I have a record that it got there. I'm way too paranoid.

I wish there was a way to confirm that A&M got the check and is processing it... like how TMDSAS does it. A&M needs to stop being lazy and update that system.
 
I agree. Kansas was even nice enough to send me an email saying "Hey, we have everything. We'll also let you know when VMCAS gets here. Thumbs up!"

Oh well. Just mailed my checks. Sent them priority mail with confirmation because I'm crazy. Don't care if it has to be postmarked by the 1st, I just want it received and DONE. >_>

Now if only those last two evaluators would actually mail the form in for me... I hope my professor didn't lose it again.
 
Thankfully I was able to finish the TMDSAS and get it submitted (it's also still waiting to process two evaluations)...but I got the checks sent off today as well (and did the UPS certified/delivery etc. too).

Supplemental...I'm just about done with it, just have to copy in an essay but it won't let me log on...I have the correct user name and password and have tried multiple times/combinations...anyone else having issues?

They did update the system as of last year. Y'all are applying with the relatively brand new, sexy TMDSAS.

Thanks TMDSAS for posting the countdown to the second until the cycle is closed...like I need a reminder. Does anyone else worry that they forgot something, even though they've checked everything like five times?

It seems to be working for me, but mine is already submitted. Maybe try a different web browser. Are you getting an error message?
 
I got a confirmation email today that my TMDSAS has finally been sent to A&M. It looks like that broken part of A&M's website is up now, too -- the "confirm applicant information" thing. Looks like our info will show up there once A&M has processed the TMDSAS so we can confirm everything.

Gah! I'm starting to freak out about TMDSAS. I've bothered them a couple times, and they keep assuring me "Don't worry about it, I'm sure your letters are here, blah blah blah we have a lot to wade through". I understand that ma'am, but I have a letter that still says pending next to it, with no received date.

I really hope this gets cleared up soon! This application was the most expensive of all and I don't want to be screwed out of applying to my IS because they continually didn't tell me it wasn't there. >_>

I know I'm overreacting but its really bothering me! Ahhh!
 
As long as you're bugging them about it, I think you'll be okay. You're positive the letter got mailed, right? For me it seemed like it took about 2 weeks from the time they were mailed for them to show up as received. If they're assuring you that they probably have it and it never shows up, I bet they'll give you another opportunity to submit it. :xf:

My latest worry is that on the applicant confirmation site, my last 45 hour GPA is about 0.25 lower than I thought it would be. I've tried calculating it a million different ways (i.e. only full time semesters, no online classes, etc.) and I can't get anywhere close to the number they have listed. Does anyone know how they calculate it? I hope it's a mistake. 🙁
 
Well, unless the doc lied to me (and I doubt she did, cause the VMCAS one went through?) then it was sent.

I just got an email today saying my application was mailed to A&M, and the letter still says NOT RECEIVED.

I shot them an email back and will call them this afternoon. They had better let me do something / anything about this, caaaaause this is really not my fault, right? They assured me the week it was due that I shouldn't be panicking about it not being there yet, because they had thousands of stuff to sort through. How can I be blamed for that.

Geeze. Please TMDSAS, do not screw me out of applying to my home state!

As for the GPA thing... I have no idea? I've been reporting a grade about .06 lower than what TMDSAS keeps saying I have. I have no idea how they calculated it... when I did it, I kept getting what I've been telling everyone else I had. I keep thinking it might have to do with the class I repeated, or maybe the AP credits, or maybe the dual-credit enrollment in high school... but I have no idea honestly, cause none of it really makes sense. (How can an AP course, 3 A's and a B account for an entire GPA boost of that much? Doesn't work out when I do it, lol!)
 
Honestly it stays that way for a good long while and suddenly one day everything updates and it's like "Surprise! Hope we didn't keep you waiting"

It is odd that they're still doing it in November though, but I guess they're running behind this year.

Did anyone go to the mock interviews over the weekend?
 
I had questions about the GPA thing too because mine was way off. I called A&M and they said TMDSAS had problems calculating GPAs and they are working on it as of this past Friday. For me, they only used my undergrad grades and did not add my hours from my masters degree. They said to check back later this week.

Your welcome! They've been adding stuff almost everyday to the application confirmation page. But today I saw they added my evaluators letters and under the "received" column it says NO....did I miss something? We weren't supposed to send the letters to A&M too? Just TMDSAS right?
 
That's weird. I could have sworn that earlier today, mine just said "yes" next to evaluator letters (but I may have dreamed that). Now it has the evaluators' names and says "no" next to each one. As far as I know, they were only supposed to go to TMDSAS, and I know TMDSAS got mine.

Seems like they've hit a few snags with application processing already so far, so I'm not going to sweat it for now. I wouldn't worry about the evals until the GPAs are fixed at least, because we know they're still working on stuff. I wonder if interview invites will go out later than usual this year due to the GPA issues...
 
TMDSAS got my letters too, its just nonetheless worrisome when they do things like that!

I guess they are having problems with their system this year. When do letters usually go out? Mid-December right?
 
Based on the threads from last year, it looked like people got interview invites from November 23rd to December 23rd. Getting close! :xf:

Sometime like that. Supposed to hear by December 28th. or so and interviews go to....February-ish.

My first year I heard on December 16th and interviewed on January 2nd. On the second year I heard on November 20th and interviewed December 12th. My third year I got my invite December 8th and interviewed January 20th.

It's pretty much completely random and has no bearing on your points as to when you get an interview.
 
TMDSAS informed me on the 8th when I inquired frantically about the letter it says is missing that they never received it. ACK!

Luckily, they're letting me get the vet to fill another one out and mail it to them? So frustrating, especially because the email was unprofessional and made it sound like it was MY fault I didn't know it was lost sooner, when I inquired about it the week before it was due, worried about it not getting checked in... and was told not to worry and they were backlogged.

BAH. Vet is going to fill it out and give it back to me this time so I can mail it certified mail and have record that it got there. Redunkulous! I emailed TAMU too to tell them what was going on and provided the correspondence... Hopefully they won't hold this against me? >_<
 
Is anyone else still waiting for TMDSAS to submit their application to TAMU? Or did I clearly screw something up? :/

I didn't think I did something wrong until I read this thread, but now I'm starting to wonder...Hopefully, we are still just stuck in the queue
 
It seems like TMDSAS will let you know if something is wrong with your application before they submit it to TAMU. Also TMDSAS' website says it can take up to six weeks to process the application before sending it on to A&M. But if you haven't already, it wouldn't hurt to contact TMDSAS just in case. Besides, TAMU apparently is having some glitches with their system anyways.
 
I submitted mine about a week before the deadline and it took the full 6 weeks to be processed, so I suspect if you submitted yours right around October 1st, it could take quite a bit longer. I wouldn't worry too much for another week or two. 🙂
 
In case this helps anyone else...I just talked to a lady at TMDSAS and they are up to processing people who submitted payment on Oct. 3rd. Mine was submitted on Oct. 4th and they said they should have mine submitted by the end of the week or early next week.

Soooo, if your payment wasn't submitted before Oct. 3rd, you are just stuck in the queue. 🙂

My GPA and evaluation letter status hasn't changed on the application confirmation page. Has yours? Or do you have any new info?

Nope, no change here either. When I contacted them last week, It sounded like they were crossing their fingers to have the GPAs fixed sometime this week, but no guarantees. I'm not going to worry about the evals until the GPAs are fixed because I know tmdsas got them. :xf:
 
Yeah, I'm not worried so much about the evals - I know TMDSAS got them. GPAs are my main concern. Thanks for the info!
 
I FINALLY got an email from TMDSAS telling me that they had "transmitted my application to A&M"....whew...was getting a little anxious😎

I got that email today! Finally! They must be getting down to the bottom of their stack because I submitted only a day or two before the deadline.

My last 45 hour gpa has been fixed on the A&M website, so it looks like they sorted out that problem. My evals still say not received, but whatever. Is anyone else's science gpa slightly different on A&M's site than it was on TMDSAS?

Also I love SDN because I probably would have called A&M 15 times by now if I didn't know others were having the same issues. 😍

I'm applying to A&M for undergrad :] One of the places, anyway. I know it's not the same thing at all, but this just caught my attention because I didn't even realize they had a vet school?

Haha, agreed. I'd be calling them alot too.

My last 45 hours was fixed too but the other two are still wrong for me. They're still not calculating the classes I've taken in graduate school. So I might be calling them today.

I also just got an email from Yolanda talking about the interview process. MMI style? I'm gonna have to research that.
 
Ok, so I caved in and called anyways. Thank God they were nice about it, I'm sure they get lots of calls. They said even though they fixed the last 45 hr GPA they are still working on the other two GPAs. Hopefully fixed by next week. She also said that its ok if we haven't confirmed it yet so I guess no hurry yet. As far as the eval letters go, they have mine, I guess its just not fixed in their system yet.

Geesh! Get it together A&M!!!
 
Wow, MMI. I think MMI is pretty cool but I wish we had heard about this sooner. There were a number of times writing my essays where I opted to cut certain things because I knew I'd be able to work them into an interview. So much for that!

I assume all applicants got the email, but for anyone else who's curious: They'll be doing MMI interviews Friday 1/14 and Saturday 1/15 from 7am to 7pm, and times/dates will be assigned by 12/23. :xf:
 
Ok, this has been a crazy morning. Yolanda actually called me back because she heard her secretary talking to me. They have been working on fixing the eval thing this morning. If its not fixed by today you need to call them.

Do you think they will be waiting until everyone has confirmed their info to start sending interview invites?
