Auburn CVM Class of 2024 Hopefuls!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Could anyone tell me what the curriculum is like at Auburn? Do you start your electives in the first semester?

Elective starts in the spring, we could take one from a list of like 12-ish. First semester is physiology, small animal anatomy, histology, parasitology, ethology, genetics, ethics, professional development and business. All came out to 21 hours.

When did auburn say that they will let us know about acceptances?

They said they’d call either this Friday or Monday if we get offered a seat. If we are waitlisted or rejected then they send an email. They will not give your position on the waitlist.

How do you know that? Do you think they’ll be making calls all day or specific time frames??

The scholarship lady told me when I asked before my interview. The scholarship lady said the meeting she had right before her presentation discussed when they’d tell us so she had just found out on Monday. She did not specify a time

I was told by Tajuan that they would be sending out invites today at 4:45p CST. But he said that last Wednesday so its possible that it could be a little later than that.

Interview invites or acceptances?

Not yet... oof, if I was wrong I apologize for getting ya'lls hopes up. But Tajuan was pretty certain of the date and time.

Nah you’re good, that tells us that maybe it’s Monday (hopefully!) maybe something happened who knows

Or maybe today is the day everyone in admissions is supposed to have decisions by and then Monday is when we hear, that’d make sense why he told you at 4:45 pm when they technically close then!

Hi! Interviewing soon, what was everyone’s interview experience like?

It was by far the best interview experience. Everyone will tell you its very conversational-- and they're right. They just want to get to know you really. They'll ask about certain experiences from your application. I was interviewed by the Spirit committee. Not sure if people interviewed by different committees experienced anything different, but I saw almost everyone walk out with a smile and feeling confident.

Does anyone know if Auburn over invites OOS seats like many other schools do?

Ugh my phone didn’t recognize the number and it went straight to voicemail! I called back immediately and they said he’ll call me back.

No chance they call for waitlists right?? Freaking our to say the least!

Anything from spirit committee Jan 29?

Has anyone from the valor committee from Jan 31 been called/accepted?
I got the call that went to voicemail, I was valor the 31st, last name H. I’m pretty sure they only call for acceptances but obviously I haven’t heard it yet so who knows.

They only call for acceptances, right?

I’m waiting for them to return my call and waiting is horribleeee
