I am seriously not ready for this.
I am just glad that I have classmates who are on the ball and can point me where I need to go and what I need to do. So far OKState '17ers are a helpful group looking out for each other. I hope that remains. 😍![]()
Me too. Decided to ride a horse before class instead of being super early. Did you use your galaxy note for lectures today? I did and I'm so glad not to have a ton of paper to carry around already!
Have y'all figured out how to use Onenote?? It's not compatible with my keyboard and I couldn't figure out how to make it let me write with my stylus, so I was just hunt-and-pecking on the onscreen keyboard. Luckily it was only orientation stuff! I'm going to work with it a lot tonight and try to figure it out, but any tips you can give me would be much appreciated!
Are you trying to use it on a tablet or phone? The OneNote app is not compatible with bluetooth keyboards (and maybe the stylus too? not sure) due to a recent update in which that functionality was removed. It's been speculated that this was Microsoft's rather bitter attempt to push more people into buying the Surface, instead of using other companies' tablets with the Microsoft programs. It's stupid and a lot of people are complaining about it, so hopefully they'll take the hint and allow those tools again. The app is totally useless without them. 🙄
You might be able to hunt around and find an older version of the app to download, but I'm not entirely sure that would be possible. At the moment my plan is to hand-write my notes and type them up on OneNote when I get home to my laptop, since I have no intention of trying to take notes on my Kindle without a real keyboard. You should have no problem using OneNote on an actual computer, it's just tablets and phones that are the problem currently. Not much else you can do, unfortunately.
If I go into "draw" in one note I can pick a pen and write with my stylus. I don't know why another tablet would be different, but if that doesn't work, maybe it is...
I'm on a Galaxy Note (hence the quote). I'm pretty sure it can recognize a stylus because of the screenshots on the download screen, though I did figure out that it's not compatible with the keyboard. Which is rather disappointing, really, since that's kind of what I bought the keyboard for, but w/e.
I think the problem is that I'm not sure where things like "draw" are. Time to look up tutorials!
I have the galaxy note, too and I have been able to draw on my slides. I either open in adobe or polaris.
I don't have any slides to open yet...we're still in orientation. I ended up getting a new app called LectureNotes. It cost like $5, but I'm going to be using it a lot so it's totally worth it. I've been using Foxit PDF for drawing on PDFs to test, but LectureNotes also has an attachment sort of thing that lets you import PDFs. It seems to be working out so far, but I'll have to see what it's like tomorrow when I try actually taking some notes on it.
I've been playing around with LectureNotes too. I definitely recommend getting used to it before classes start - there's a lot of complicated little functions and custom settings that are very useful, but hard to figure out at first!
Day 2 done... My anatomy group got a fat as f^%# husky... OMG tomorrow is gonna suck when we have to clean her up.
I'm kinda in a grumpy mood, not sure why.. But I'm just bleh!!

We got a fat lab for my group so cleaning all the fascia off was fun. Also, my group decided to clean it off with the scalpel so we shredded the lateral head of the triceps and the axillary nerve...
We have our first quiz tomorrow in physiology. 😱
Granted it is mostly stuff from undergrad, but still if it's been a while, it is a bit anxiety inducing.
It is, but he may not post the guide til late tonight or tomorrow. They are a bit slow this week it seems.
Is it a M quiz?
Never again. Never ever.
Depends... what is an M quiz?
How was it?!?! Feeling a bit better? 🙂
M refers to the professor, I'm assuming. Ol' Joe.
Phys 1, so you may not have had him. He also teaches the pharm section I believe.
