I think whats making everyone impatient (correct me if I’m wrong) but there’s people who were complete in December & January (not me bc I was just recently complete) & haven’t been offered any info about their apps, but people who were just complete 2 weeks ago that got interview invites already.

What I can say is that no news is good news, let’s all just continue to stay steadfast & patient!
 
Just curious....Was the May 4th deadline rigid? (Due to Coronavirus messing you lives and what not)? I just feel like the whole timeline has been thrown off a bit lol.
 
Hi it is rigid. I tried sending them something May 5th and admissions responded back saying it was past deadline. So they’re definitely trying to stick to schedule as much as possible.

With the Spring semester at an end and the application deadline now passed, is it possible to give them updated transcript grades via email to improve our position? lol this waiting game killing me.

I emailed them with my updated transcript grades and of course they didn't answer but who knows It might have helped. Doesn't hurt to send them anyway.
 
Anyone didnt send their mcat score but application says complete?

oh my bad, I was implying +2 for still have not heard back. My MCAT was already complete. Also, because I am a re-applicant, it seemed to still have my old scores as well as most recent. I am thinking it have prepopulated from my app to Drexel Regular M.D. this cycle. I still sent my scores tho via AAMC.

I applied without the MCAT score. It took me about 2 weeks after my submission to be marked complete. But my application was complete the day after they announced that the MCAT scores were waived.

Ok still hope for me. I did it last week so I will see if they will mark it complete in two weeks from now. Are you under review now?

How are you dealing with Hanhnemann closing? Isn’t that where you guys do rotations? I know it’s not an ideal situation but I heard it was going to close in like a couple of years anyway.

where do students normally live? do people normally have cars to get around?

I have apps in at BU MAMS, Temple ACMS, and I’ve been waitlisted for Georgetown’s SMP :/

Planning to submit an app to EVMS in a week. If I don’t hear from any of them I’ll also apply to PCOM’s SMP. What about you?

ACMS provides conditional acceptance like Drexel. PCOM’s guarantee is a little confusing but it seems like either conditional admission or guaranteed interview.

EVMS MedMasters seems to have a pretty strong linkage and BU Mams has ”facilitated consideration, ” whatever that means, but I think their masters in clinical research would be pretty marketable in case I never get into medical school. Hopefully it doesn't come to that though haha

I applied to CDU postbac (in LA), Morehouse msms, wake forest, ubuffalo, rfu, and some other school.

Cdu has guaranteed interview to ucla med upon reaching 3.5 & 500 mcat, morehouse has guaranteed interview also, wake forest has 'strong consideration', & i think ubuffalo has guaranteed interview as well, can't remember.

in all honesty, drexel dpms was my first choice.

I’ve heard really good things about Georgetown’s program! Hope either that or DPMS work out for you.
I applied to UNTHSC’s smp program. I got in and have accepted it but DPMS is still my first choice. Everyone seems really nice so far but the conditional acceptance from Drexel would be hard to beat.

That’s awesome-- i’ve heard great things about UNtHSC! I would have also applied there but I don’t have my MCAT. DPMS is also at the top of my list... I love Philly and would love to know where I’m going to be for the next few years, not to mention all the other benefits, but I’m sure I’ll be happy wherever I land.
 
Do you guys think that they might shift the program online or maybe the summer session online due to corona?

well if you think about it all the classes are already online but if you mean like actually coming to philly, during my interview they said summer will definitely be online however still on the fence about fall classes.

I am pretty new to this, but this website has helped a lot with my anxiety over DPMS! I had my interview on the 4th of May, and I cannot stop thinking about how I did. I reallllly want to get in, and I hope I did enough in the interview. It was a tad bit rocky since my interviewer wasn’t that talkative.

They said during the interview day that the summer session would be entirely online.

Yep, this! Which also meant that living in Stiles Hall would be obsolete, basically, so maybe that's nothing worth worrying about. I'm personally already looking for apartment and taking Stiles Hall out of the picture (if I'm accepted).

Honestly I heard it was pretty gross so maybe this isn’t so bad lol
 
I got pulled off the waitlist to med school. If anyone is planning to retake the MCAT, I bought the self pace kaplan course and you can still reset everything. I haven’t even touched the AAMC official practice exams. If u know anyone interested let me know.
