+1. I was complete around the same time. Collectively, I feel if we have not heard on an invitation to interview, it is probably because we did not make a good enough impression on them upon our submission to land an interview. From the trends on this thread, ppl who have gotten interviews tend to hear back within a couple of days of being complete. I do not think I have seen anyone who applied Winter / Early Spring hear news all of a sudden now (correct me if I am wrong).

So I feel they review and decide within a couple of days if we get interviews. If not, it is basically a silent R unless they were waiting for the app deadline to close before deciding to re-evaluate us former applicants and see who they can consider adding to the class.

The only thing I don’t understand is that people get rejected and have gotten rejected throughout the process. So if we didn’t make a good enough impression wouldn’t they just have sent us the decisions email and it say we are rejected? Others have posted that’s how they were notified when they were rejected. So I’m just going to try to stay hopeful that no news is good news as well right!?

Yo good look. You are right about this and I completely forgot. Maybe because I have not seen many of those R posts in a while (but also everything seems like a blur now with chronology and time). But I'm with you, I hope no news is good news. We are currently probably piled up in some drawer waiting for someone to open it and let in some light into our consideration (physically and figuratively).
 
For those that interviewed in April, have you gotten any admission decisions yet? They said they’d send the first round of decisions in the middle of May during the interview and I’m checking my email every 2 seconds
 
Haha yeah I’m just hoping that’s the case and that they don’t wait until the very last minute to give out rejections.

Honestly just be yourself. My interview was really chill and it was more of a conversation. Expect typical questions like why DPMS/Drexel, know your app, etc. I don’t think it is anything to stress about. There is a lot of downtime but it’s mostly used to talk to the host or to other people who are interviewing, which was really cool. The essay part was also very simple. They give you 30 min to complete it and I finished it in about 20.

I was told the admissions committee meet every thursday so my guess is to expect first round of decisions friday or beginning next week? don't quote me on that lol

Also congrats to both of y'all with your GU SMP's acceptance, if that is what you are referring to. I am completing my app tonight, I was hoping for fee waiver as a FAP recipient but they denied it. As I currently hold 2 WL, I am trying to optimize my chances of a Plan B in case I have to re-apply and both DPMS and GU SMP seem like good options but DPMS more promising with matriculation and support/mentorship. GU SMP seems risky but at least academic enhancer by actually sitting in classes unlike other SMP's where it is grad courses.

I didn’t get into GU, I got into a well known in state program here in Texas. But if you are looking at GU, I know 4 people who really enjoyed their time there and are now in med school!

Not yet! I interviewed April 20th and have not heard anything. I sent them an update email yesterday with my unofficial transcript and awards I’ve won before graduating last weekend, and have not heard back. Here’s to hoping we hear something at the end of the week!! 👍

They didn’t respond. But I only sent an update because I already had my interview with them. I figured they would like to see how their applicants progressed through an all-online class format.
 
I haven’t gotten an interview so it may be different for me. Thank you though!

This may be a dumb question, but like I said earlier, I’m very new to Reddit and it’s lingo.

What does pre II and such mean?

also, for interviews, BE YOURSELF. I don’t know how, but virtual interviews show when you’re not being who you are EVEN MORE than in person. I guess because you have more time to sound like a robot. They see right through.

Lol it means pre interview. Took me awhile to pick up on the lingo too. But thanks for the advice!
 
So to the folks that have already interviewed, I have a few questions:

1. So I'm a dude with long hair but the problem is they curl up in the back and the sides and look super weird. All of the barber shops still closed in my are so let me know what I can do or your best grooming tips LOL!!

2. I was wondering if it's ok to use airpods during the interview because even though they're pretty mainstream but I don't want to come off as privileged. Expanding on this, did any of you use regular headphones or just took the interview without any earpiece.

Gonna remain positive & I’m glad I saw that post about the person who just got an interview invite yesterday after being complete in January, but dude.... How are people who were just complete last week getting interview invites before 10s of hundred who were complete way before them, & that’s just what we’re seeing on SDN...
Nonetheless I’ll stay positive ‍♀️

So on my interview day I was lucky because I actually cut my own hair but a lot of people hadn't gotten haircuts so you definitely won't be in the minority. I suggest just try grooming it as much as possible (eg brushing/combing it & application of oils) just so you can look good.

I personally didn't use any types of earphones as I didn't have to but I saw someone using airpods during my interview. In terms of whether it would make you look privileged, I don't think that should be your worry, just be you.
 
how late in the evening do they email the interview zoom link? I’m supposed to interview tomorrow and have yet to receive anything.

Out of curiosity, for those who received interview invites, which email was it sent from? Sorry im kind of panicking, i empty my junk mail a week back and now im worried i might have deleted that email.
 
So I just got completed and Im super stressed about the next update. If you were rejected or invited to be interviewed, what did the email begin with . Im so anxious!

Based on previous posts, those who get rejected get an email telling them to check their status online. Those who get an II “thank you for you interest ..... you have been invited for an interview”

I got an interview invite and emailed the interview coordinator. For those that have been invited to interview, did the interview coordinator reply back confirming that they got your email? If so, how long did it take for them to respond? I'm getting nervous and I'm thinking about emailing the interview coordinator just to make sure they got my email.

The interview coordinator responded to my email an hour later. Did you send an email to [email protected] ? I would say to be patient and give them until this afternoon to respond, if you don't hear back by then send a follow up email.
