DREXEL DPMS 2021-2022

Omg my interview lasted 70 minutes. And my interviewer was counting. I think it all just depends on who interviews you lol
70?!?!? I thought mine was long!! I hope it was 70 minutes of conversation and not 70 minutes of grilling you on your app!!!

But like even if the last interview invite goes out May 19th, can we even guarantee that there will still be a May 20th Casper opening?
i’m assuming they’ll have all interview invites sent out by may 20 if that’s their casper deadline. I don’t think these exams “fill up” just bc theyre online but I could be wrong

Just got the II invite about an hour ago! I had practically given up all hope for this cycle but the invites are still coming so don’t count yourself out yet!
Congrats on your II invite!! If you don’t mind me asking, what was your completion date?

do any of you know if they do silent rejections (wait till all the applications are reviewed to send rejections) or do they let people know soon as they review the app?

Interviewed Tuesday...My interviewer didn't seem all that impressed lol, oh well (could have just been tired too). It was about 30 mins, just be yourself if you're interviewing that's pretty much what they want to see. If invited, your stats, your resume, and your essay were all good enough. Good luck!

I received an interview invite this morning at 6:10 AM Pacific. The Casper requirement is stated on the email they send you to interview. So those people who haven't gotten an interview won't know they have to do it because it's not listed anywhere else.

I am worried though because my interview is next week and from what I read on that interview email, it says to complete it before the interview? It's impossible. So will I be okay if I attend my interview without haven't taken the Casper?

PS: I have never taken Casper lol

it's not required before the interview, but it does have to be complete by May 20th (not sure, please double check)

I'm in a Mountain Standard Time state and thought I had it bad...f in the chat for this champ who is in Pacific Standard Time who is going to have their interview next week starting at 5:30am. ✊

If CASPER needs to be in by May 20th, does that mean we All hear back by then? I NEED ANSWERS 🥲
I think we are all asking questions that we unfortunately just dont know the answers to. The waiting has been brutal, but it’s definitely just a few more weeks at the most of additional waiting

Hi guys! Congrats to everyone who has gotten IIs, and for those who haven't, don't worry you got this!! I received my II today at 4:16 pm EST : ) App was marked complete on 4/30, so I was not expecting this quick of a turnaround, but I'm not complaining lol. cGPA 3.2, sGPA 3.0, and MCAT 500

aww this message actually gave me some hope for real as I was also marked complete on 4/30. thanks for this!❤️

I guess I'm confused as to how people with a 3.7 GPA and 511 MCAT scores are getting interviews for this program?? Not to say that I have ANY idea about anyone's personal background or disadvantages but your numbers aren't disadvantaged in the slightest. It just seems unfair that several people in this thread get interviewed with numbers like that when really they could just reapply to AMCAS more broadly and get in, versus people who actually NEED this program to get into medical school. Isn't that what this program is for, people who need it? Isn't that why the "recommended competitive" GPA is 2.9+ and MCAT of 499+ to not have to retake it?

I'm very disheartened by this whole process. Not just Drexel but the entire medical school application process. As much as everyone talks about personal statements and heartfelt stories, none of that matters. Your GPA and MCAT get you in. Period. Your story doesn't matter. Your improvements don't matter. "Holistic review" is a cruel joke.

Hey I'm with you here on this 100%, and I admire you for speaking the truth I was holding in. I don't have the stats at all to even be looked at by a computer in the AMCAS cycle, so this is my savior. I do think these people are better off reapplying to AMCAS, even to DO program honestly. It is rigged in some way.

Of course we don't know, maybe they are disadvanategd in some other ways and they tried their best to make up for it in their stats, and this is now their reward. We just don't know. I hope this doesn't attack anybody, I am simply empathasizing with someone because I have felt this towards medical schools. I truly hope Drexel is different and levels the playing field.

My dear friend, I'm rooting for you, I am praying you get that II. Just wait a little longer, you're almost in.

I feel your frustration 100%. I'm in a similar boat. Just want to encourage you and tell you not to give up! They make it extremely difficult but you just gotta keep going and know that you're not alone. You will get there! Sending you support and strength.
