does anyone know when will they send the interview invitation? this week or later?
I heard by mid-January so I'm really hoping this week or next week, but I'm not positive!

this might be a dumb question, but is gpa considered in phase II? from the description of phase II on illinois' website, it seems like grades aren't really being considered anymore

Grades are not a part of phase two.

However, the scores for phases 1 and 2 are considered together to determine if you make it to phase 3.

Once you hit phase 3, only your phase 2 and phase 3 scores are used to determine acceptance vs wait list

Does anyone know if there's a way to check if your transcript has arrived for Fall 2020? I requested mine on December 23rd to be sent to Illinois and Iowa and it doesn't look like they are here yet. I requested an additional one on Monday to be sent through fedex, but I'm nervous that they will not get there by Friday. I've emailed the admissions office about it, but haven't heard back yet.

I don’t know of a specific way besides asking them which you’ve already done. You could try a phone call?

Contacting ASA is the only way that I know of. Calling them may be your best bet.
anyone think we may hear from admissions at the end of this week?
I received my interview invite on January 15 the year I applied. It's been relatively consistent over the years as a "mid-January" thing.

I emailed them last night and they replied this morning that they have received mine.

Wonder if there's still a chance of hearing back today or if they're just going to send out interview invites next week?

TBH, it could go either way, depending on what's going on. ASA is working with a lot of things right now due to the COVID restrictions the main university has put on the colleges throughout campus. They've got 550 current students to worry about on top of applicants right now, ya know? You never know, they're still open for half an hour. But next week would also be "mid-January as well".

Edit: My bad! There was an hour and a half left when I posted this. Future doctor here that struggles to convert between time zones. lol.

I feel like they're probably behind due to covid.
They definitely are. Third years haven’t even gotten our clinics schedule yet 😬
We at least know when our vacation/off blocks are, any elective off campus blocks are, and what we’re doing for the first 6 weeks (2 online rotations and a vacation block) so we’re not completely in the dark thankfully.

Nothing for me so far. I’m expecting to hear from them tomorrow late afternoon, but I won’t be too surprised if we have to wait until next week, again.
Ugh, I really hope it is tomorrow!

They’re not starting back up again for classes till next week. Tomorrow would be ideal but there’s a chance they’re still out of office

I know y’all are dying to hear back!! I was in your shoes not too long ago and the wait was torture for me. It helps A LOT to take your mind off of it and do something else (I know that’s difficult to do), but really it seems like these decisions always come at times when you are not expecting them.

I hope you all hear good news soon!

So if we arent going to hear until next week (end of jan) what are the odds everyone thinks we will hear before Friday? (I know I saw they usually send out invites on Friday's)
Also starting to worry that if interviews are still mid Feb it wont give alot of time to prepare. 😬

I got mine for 2021 and 2022 on a Monday and Tuesday

I got mine for 2020 on a Thursday.

As far as prep, there's not much you can do to prep beyond what you would normally do. Nothing is stopping you from prepping now, either.

Last year I got my interview offer on a Friday, so it sounds like they don’t gravitate towards any one particular day.

Yeah, I've definitely already started prepping myself. I was going to ask a former co-worker to do some mock interviews with me though since she used to be on an admissions committee and I really value her input. However shes a very busy woman and dont want her to rearrange her schedule for me if I dont get an interview. 😂

OOS interview waitlist (?) lol it’s not a no yet I guess, so hopefully I’ll get one later!
