Iowa State doesn’t interview anymore, so no one did.I did not get an interview if that's what you are asking.
They are asking if on the Isu applicant data page ( the supplimental one with the message center) if you were put through to committee review or if you were just in academic review.I did not get an interview if that's what you are asking.
Same here. I submitted my application on 9/17 and it took 4 weeks to verify so im assuming that’s why mine is taking so long.Anyone else's still say none in the application status? Also, my science and last 45 GPA have not been calculated.
Just academic review! Sorry about the confusion y'all. They are asking if on the Isu applicant data page ( the supplimental one with the message center) if you were put through to committee review or if you were just in academic review.

Point of information on this, once you're moved into committee review your GPA and academic history are hidden from the committee. They rank you based on your experience, work history, recommendations, and personal development only. It's not until after they've ranked you based on this criteria that your GPAs are revealed (I'm assuming for final decisions). As someone with a strong application and below average GPA this gave me some relief.

I spoke with Kathy in admissions. My application had been in academic review for awhile so I called to check on it. While I had her on the phone I asked her if the committee uses the academic review info because of what was said on here previously. That's when she told me this. I don't know how the GPA comes back in but I do know that the committee will rank you before seeing your GPA.

Thats actually pretty great 🙂Point of information on this, once you're moved into committee review your GPA and academic history are hidden from the committee. The only gpas that count are science and last 45There are 2 separate scores the committees and the GPA both out of 50 I think. That is what it seemed from the evaluation they gave me after being waitlisted and not making it off the wait list last year.

I know. Those are equally weighted for that score. The only gpas that count are science and last 45
Also for those who are in classes now, I was told that scores are recalculated in Feb before final decisions are made.
With the exception of ISU/UNL applicants (they go through a slightly different application timeline and usually receive decisions earlier), this is correct, yes.we dont get decisions until february?!
Trying to send you a DM about this.
It had to be just academic review because as long as you pass through that you are in committee review which doesn't send decisions until FebruaryFor everyone asking questions about Iowa State,
I applied the end of July, I'm out of state, and I'm unsure whether or not I was in committee review before rejection! (I honestly applied and have been so nervous since I've just been waiting for e-mails).
Yeap. Feb 15th, I believe.we dont get decisions until february?!
If it's any consolation, they release the decisions pretty early in the morning haha. I think I got the notification at 6:30 on the morning of decision day (Feb 15).we dont get decisions until february?!
Yes I did too for last cycle! If it's any consolation, they release the decisions pretty early in the morning haha. I think I got the notification at 6:30 on the morning of decision day (Feb 15).
To quote schoolhouse rock:So once in committee review, do you just stay there until February 15th?
Dont do that because if they need to message you they do it there. However I'd binge netflix 😉Thanks. Now I'll just block myself from my application page for the next few months and pick up some hobbies. Any recommendations?
Ah yes but generally you’ll get an email if you get a portal message 😛Dont do that because if they need to message you they do it there. However I'd binge netflix 😉
You’ll get an email saying you have a message in your portal, so as long as it doesn’t go to spam or anything you’re good.Bummer about the messaging, I was hoping I'd get an email notification.
Castlevania is pretty good but a bit gory, even though its aimed at kids voltron was good. I hear Sabrina is actually pretty fun as well ( dark take on the 90s show).Any good shows worth watching? I've been rewatching Breaking Bad because I'm in... a "show hole". Bummer about the messaging, I was hoping I'd get an email notification.
YesSo once in committee review, do you just stay there until February 15th?
Im working on the second season 🙂 loved the first.Did you finish the second season of Castlevania? I saw the first one, and I have it on my Netflix list. If you saw it, what did you think? I really want to get to the Dracula film that was just added for this month .I've heard good things about it .
You'll have to let me know how you liked it. I couldn't believe how short the first season was but I guess when you figure in the technical details of the animation, they probably wanted to preseve costs before really committing to it. Then again, I don't know what an eight 30-minute episode second season tells us either. "Hey glad you liked it, here's some more, we guess?"Im working on the second season 🙂 loved the first.
I recommend The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix! It is spooky but I like it! Only 10 episodes too! Thanks. Now I'll just block myself from my application page for the next few months and pick up some hobbies. Any recommendations?
I called to check on mine awhile back and they were very friendly. If you believe there's an error it doesn't hurt to call.Does anyone else still see “None” as their application status? I did submit my application the last day and had to resubmit it later so I’m guessing that’s the reason why I haven’t had a status update. It’s still a bit worrying
Unless they’ve changed things from last cycle, they prefer you message them on the portal versus calling or emailing.I called to check on mine awhile back and they were very friendly. If you believe there's an error it doesn't hurt to call.

Mine did the same thing, I had emailed them way before my status changed and they told me that I probably wouldn’t see the status change from none to academic review instead it would go straight to committee and the only GPA I had calculated was my cumulativeDid anybody get to committee review without ever being in academic review? My application status went from none to committee review and I still have no GPAs calculated.
I am NOT a horror person and end up watching Hill House in broad daylight with my hands half-covering my face but this show is sooo good I can’t help it. It has a really good storyline outside of the “scares” and the filming is beautiful. Highly recommend (just don’t watch it alone at night)I recommend The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix!
