What does yours say? Mine just changed to : Concluded: Admit: No Response ... don't know what that means...What does everyone's 'application status' say on their portal?

Can't you just run over to admissions and ask for us? haha mine also says concluded - admit - no responseMine does too. I'm freaking out now. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!
Thanks so much for the clarification! If I remember correctly from last year.... CONGRATULATIONS! Concluded admit means you're in! No response means you haven't said if you've accepted or declined yet.
IT'S REAL!!!! Congrats!!!!Got the official message!! Accepted 🙂
I'm in too. For everyone in Connecticut, did it say under the message board if you got the contract? It lists me as non-resident but then says I may be eligible for the contract and to contact lalallaala. So I was wondering if they are waiting for people to accept before giving out status of contract or what
Congrats and good luck!!!I'M IN!!!!!!!!!(my first acceptance HOLY CRAP)!!!!!!! In Illinois for my interview right now..... Still in need of good juju!!!!!!!!!! Congrats everybody!!!

No I think that's what the message is saying, the contract is not in their jurisdiction, you have to take to UConn about it.
It's all about where you look - try renting out a room from someone in the mobile home parks next to the vet school- small, but very affordable and convenient!I got in! Congrats everyone! So exciting! Also sad to find out that Ames is way more expensive to live than where we are now, sad day. Oh well, totally worth it!

See you there 🙂I'M IN!!!!!!!!!(my first acceptance HOLY CRAP)!!!!!!! In Illinois for my interview right now..... Still in need of good juju!!!!!!!!!! Congrats everybody!!!
Creekside and Old Orchard are the two trailer parks next to the school where most of the students live, and you can find places big enough for that many people plus pets. I know some people who are graduating who posted theirs on Craigslist: http://ames.craigslist.org/reo/5385802286.html, but you can also find them through the school housing site. It might seem like a lot of money up front, but they hold their value pretty well, since 4th years can usually find incoming 1st years to sell to.Ummm...so just putting this out there..I 'm trying to work the numbers already. I REALLY like this school. This was the one I wanted....but it's gonna take all of my thinking power to make this work.
I need to house 2 adults, 2 children (currently 9&9months) & aGSP..well ok he has a min pin too.
Any suggestions?

A lot of houses go up for rent with ads on Craigslist and Trulia closer to the end of the semester (April/May). You shouldn't have a problem finding something! You can message me if you have any questions 🙂 (also, saw the post on cost of living being expensive- I really don't think it is bad.. I rent a house with three other girls 5 mins from campus for $375 each/month that allows pets!)
I'm one of those posts! LolIt's been a couple of days now, but I am still just as much in shock as I was on Friday. Haha.
Don't forget to join the Facebook group, guys! There's a couple of posts about housing on there already!
Is there another FB group other than Ames/ Boone for rent/sale?

I take it that you're the one who posted about renting out a room of a trailer? 🙂I'm one of those posts! Lol
Depends on if you're IS or OOS. IS doesn't move a lot. OOS depends on the applicant pool: some years it's not much, one year they almost used up the whole alternate list. The length of the list varies too, but from what I've heard it can be 60+ people for OOS.Does anyone know how many students are on the alternate list and how quickly it moves?
It doesn't really matter. It may affect what group they put you in for orientation (they want to mix up students) and it may affect who you get as an advisor. You don't pick your really real track until fall of third year.Hey - I am struggling between if I want to declare my career interest as Small Animal or Mixed, Predominantly Small Animal. This question is aimed more towards veterinary students/veterinarians who have already gone through this, but I am not sure how much of a difference it makes. I don't know if it's better to keep my options open right now or to go directly towards what I know I like.
I'm OOS from CT and I'm going to decline my offer - I meant to send an email earlier today but I forgot so I'll send it tomorrow. I hope that gives someone else OOS the chance to move up the list and gives you CT folks less competition for the contract seats!Depends on if you're IS or OOS. IS doesn't move a lot.
