Hello fellow pre-vets. I have been invited to interview at KSU on Jan 7th (Sun). I live in CA, but will make the trip. Is anyone interested in sharing a room or meeting up to share a car, etc... I am travelling alone alone and it would be nice to go with someone else. Thanks and good luck with the rest of the apps...

congratulations to the both of you! 😀 how were you notified? i'm from california too but i had to resend my gre scores last week because they never received it so i don't know if i will get an interview invitation anytime soon (if ever)!😳

Thanks!! I was notified via email on Nov. 21st. Hopefully once they get your scores they will send you an invitation. Good luck!

Are the having that pizza party thing this year? It was on the Saturday evening of the big out-of-state interview weekend.

If so, I highly recommend going. It's a little akward being around all the people you're competing with, but it is VERY informative.

Also, about the Manhattan airport (or any airport), if you're flying in there....last year they said they lost someone's bags....and he had to interview in what he was wearing on the plane....so just incase, you might want to be wearing something non-offensive. I'm prone to band shirts which often have, shall we say, colorful images and words on them, so I was really happy that wasn't me.

Does anyone know what the weather is usually like around that time in January?

Also, I have a few friends who applied to K-State, and haven't heard anything yet...they are also from New York. Does this mean they probably won't be getting an interview??

It is usually cold in January (btw 30 and 40), however Kansas weather changes all time. It could even been in the 50's. Probably a chance for snow. I know thats kind of vague, but thats Kansas weather. Hence the phrase, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes"

I haven't heard a word from Kansas... not even to confirm that I applied, or that they received all the pieces of my application. I realize I should have followed up, but I guess I was more worried about my in-state school application at the time... now I'm really worried!🙁

Call them! They are really nice and they will let you know if your application is complete.

If any of you were supposed to interview yesterday (1/13), was there any sort of cancellation of interviews due to the weather? Just wondering how that'll affect the decision time frame!

My flight was cancelled the night before I flew out so I had to call and cancel my interview. They said they would call me back to reschedule for a later date. I assume many people were in this situation because I called the Dean's office at 11pm last night and the prompt said to leave a message if you couldn't make it due to the weather - and the mailbox was full!

Hi ScubaSteve! You're not alone! I had to cancel my interview as well. Hopefully they will reschedule soon, I was all excited and ready to go! I spoke with someone at the office on Sunday, and she said to expect calls soon as to rescheduling. I hope this doesn't decrease our chances of getting in, but I don't think it will because someone who did make it to their interview said that there were only two people interviewing her - one couldn't make it due to weather! I am only worried now that it might overlap with my other 3!
