They sent me a rejection letter almost immediately after cashing my check. Talk about money $@%#. Well, if they didn't like my stats, why sent me secondaries? Not to mention it's the shortest secondary ever, and the office staff said, "we sent you secondary which means we like you". What the...?
Anyone else interviewing on 9/9 ? I am super excited ! I noticed that we are going to have a group interview. Does anyone know how many people are going to be in each group ?
I've got an Oct 14th interview. I know it's very difficult to determine but does anyone know the rough percentage of those interviewed who get accepted? Good luck to everyone!
I'll be there on the 9th too! At the LECOM-B interview there were six in the group interview, but I don't know if it will be similar at Erie.
Waitlisted from the 8/19 interview
27O, 3.95 overall, 3.95 science. Thought the interview went well, but I was the only one in my interview that hadn't gradated yet. Up against some tough competition!
I was in your group, too (I'm almost positive), and I haven't graduated, either. This makes me nervous!
So just curious...
What kind of envelope does a LECOM-E acceptance letter come in?
normal sized envelope... was worried when it wasnt some big envelope but no worries, it only contains like 5 pages worth of info, so no need for a bigger envelope
Thanks. That would have worried me too.

i can't comment on Erie but I'll give you the perspective of someone who grew up in LA and moved to Michigan to attend my undergrad...it gets DAMN COLD (at worst I had to walk to class in -15 degree cold), very rarely do schools close up...I drove up to michigan and most of the time the roads are cleared and fine to drive on without chains...on days when it snowed massively it can be rough for a while...i definitely didnt hate it cuz it kept me in the library studying for the mcat lolSo how is Erie in regards to the winter? I'm from South Florida so not much snow here (actually... it never snows. <0.00001%). Anyways, what I mean is how is it driving in Erie? Are the roads maintained? do many of the locations where students live have garages? Are chains on the tires a necessity?
In short terms... is it bearable for someone who isn't from up north? lol
Thanks!
Has anyone seen this before on LECOM-B application status:"Your file will be re-reviewed by the Admissions Committee in 60 days." I did call on Friday asking the status of my application because it was taking awhile. Do you think they would put me in the penalty box?
I'm confused because I have an interview scheduled with LECOM Erie.
I still didn't get a secondary email... =[
Has anyone else out there been under review for a REALLY long time? I was complete on 7/8, and still have yet to hear from the school...if you're "on hold," do they send you an email notifying you of that?
What is the gpa minimum? I got rejected stating that I didn't meet it but I dont know what it is?
To be honest, I think the snowfall average at LECOM's location is more like 100", since it is several miles inland and higher in elevation than the downtown area. South of I-90, it snows like crazy (130+ average).Erie is the 6th snowiest non-mountain city in the country. They average about 80" of snow a year. Yes, they have plows to clear the roads, yes you are expected to attend class when it snows, yes it will snow, no you may not have a garage, no you probably won't need snow chains, and yes you will probably hate it 🙂
August 26th interview group....
I GOT ACCEPTED!
28R, 3.9 GPA, and sooooooo happy!
Thanks for all of the help studentdoctor.net and everyone who contributes!

on the AACOM info page, there is no "formal" minimum GPA, but it says that competitive applicants have a 3.4+. i haven't actually looked at the school's website today. hope this helps, sorry to hear about your rejection. i'm still in limbo myself.
Thats what I thought to but getting such a quick rejection makes me feel like they just took my money and ran. My mcat was higher then their average and my post bacc gpa was 3.5. maybe im just bitter but there is no way any human eyes ever looked at my application.
The average for Erie is 89" according to this NOAA sourceLast year, Erie had ~100".... The average is ~80. I looked it up... I live in MN, last year we had ~80", it was a record for Minneapolis/St. Paul... Remember, the stats I looked up are for Erie, at the airport because that's the official measuring spot... Beyond that, the other areas could get more/less, I'm just saying the reported/recorded average is ~80" Which is a pretty fair amount of snow for a non-mountain town... By contrast, Breckenridge ski resort measured 506" which is 42'....
CONGRATS! I interviewed on the same day..I cannot wait to find out if I got in or not! I hope I got accepted!
Which interview group were you in? From your username, I am guessing your from NJ. Were you the girl in the air force suit?
That was me lol Hope they didn't mind it too much (guess I will find out when that letter finally reaches CO!)..are you the boy who was doing AF ROTC by any chance?
That was me that was doing AFROTC. Hope you get the same good news I just got!
Accepted: 3.63cGPA, 3.51sGPA, 25R
Interviewed 8/26, really impressed by the school! The interview was fantastic and my group had some incredible individuals in it!
Now I just need to figure out the HPSP stuff 😕

Sorry! I saw militarymed and just guessed lol but I am so happy for all of you gaining acceptances! That is very exciting!
Hope to hear you receive an acceptance, too. I was actually one of the few hands that raised when the financial aide presenter discussed the HPSP. I am leaning towards the air force 🙂
Awesome! I was surprised how many people raised thier hands for considering HPSP. Well if you ever have any questions about the AF feel free to send them my way..even if I am not positive on the answers, I can find someone who is! Air Force is definitely the way to go (in my competely biased opinion 🙂)!
