This is how I imagine how LMU Admissions is going to be on Friday:

Probably accurate for 99.9% of people given how many were given interviews...IS IT OVER YET?!

Here’s my thing though there are very few people from Jan 29 and feb 2/12 who have received decisions. If we all just get thrown in the waitlist pile because they sent out all of their accepted decisions before they reviewed our files that’s messed up

Wait I didn’t think anyone has heard from February dates? No one from and Feb date (including me) on here has said anything as far as I know

Yeah that’s what I’m saying like on here only one person has heard from jan 29 (when i interviewed) and I haven’t seen anything from the two later dates. I can’t help but worry that all of us are either gonna be waitlisted or rejected solely because we interviewed later and they had already sent out enough decisions to fill their seats prior to reviewing our files. Now I’m sure that’s not really the case and I’m being paranoid (as always lmao) but these are the things that have kept me awake for 3 months agonizing over

Ugh this is so unfair to keep us waiting like this! It probably will be Friday 🙁 Its just so unreasonable that they're giving us less than 2 weeks to make a decision and submit a deposit....Im just so tired of checking my email constantly and waiting around with still no response, but hoping the wait will be worth it!!!

The waiting is horrible, I will agree. I am actually the parent of someone who is LMU class of 2021. We went through the same thing last year. It will be over soon and you will know. Wait list is not the end of the road always .. we waited 2 weeks after the acceptances went out and then were notified of a seat ... and then had 24 HOURS to submit the deposit. Best of luck to everyone.

Well people from earlier interview dates still haven't heard anything either, its not just you guys. I interviewed November 6th and got nothing yet so they're accepting from every date, it doesn't matter what date your interview was at, we all have the same chance in terms of that

Current masters students just heard today and proud to say I just got accepted from our masters student pool! Best of luck to you all! I saw the admissions committee meeting earlier on Monday so everyone else's decisions should be following up here soon!

So glad to hear that! Fingers crossed we find out tomorrow. Overall, did you like the masters program? Congrats on your acceptance!

Soon as in today or soon as in tomorrow? Just going crazy over here.

A friend of mine is in the Master's program finally heard they were waitlisted this afternoon.

The Master's program is only worth it if you need a leg up to get into the Vet Program. The classes are not that great besides the Veterinary Anatomy course you take with the vet students and there is literally nothing to do in the program, you can't join any clubs or anything, so unless you know or meet friends its a pretty boring year. It's just another way for the university to get more money.

A good non-BS answer. I love it, I was just looking into Master's programs and thought LMU may be a viable option.

Hey All!
Keep holding on, you will have an answer soon. This happened with LMU last year too and it took what felt like forever to hear something. But I know they started considering transfer students this week too so they should have an answer to all of you guys soon. Don't lose hope, y'all got this!
Last year though we were told by March 15th at interviews and heard March 16th. We didn’t get the date pushed back three weeks like this year’s applicants. Accepted students still got a whole month to come up with the money for the deposit versus under 10 days :\

If you’ve already taken A&P and gotten an A you’re told it’s pretty much “a given” when you interview. Plus I was told everyone did really well this past year so I assume everyone got that A. They may have said in the Q&A that it’s not “guaranteed” and they say that in the interview, but then reassure you everyone that does well “gets in”.
I mean, I still don’t really think it’s effed up someone from the masters program got waitlisted.... there’s only so many seats for tons of qualified applicants, whether they’ve done the masters program or not.

They’re taking 150 people, they can make room for 20 of the MS students if they’ve all done well considering what you’re told before you pay your deposit. So we can agree to disagree!

Wait...waitlisted? That’s pretty f’d up. 😡
Just want to remind you all that current vet students, faculty and staff at LMU read these threads.
And the master's program is not a guarantee into LMU CVM. It's actually really stressfull and my classmates that went through it said it is more intense than the actual vet school itself. I don't know that exact requirements but I have heard from other master students in the past say that they had to maintain a certain gpa and get like all A's. Also from having a former masters student in my anatomy class for round 2, C's do not mean that you get to skip anatomy if you took it during the master's program. Do you think every school that has some sort of masters program in science accepts all of those students into their programs? Probably not. Just because you went through it doesn't mean its an automatic in. What if someone got all C's in the master's program. Should they get priority over you because they chose to do this program and pay the extra money? It's like going to cornell for undergrad because they have a vet program and you want to go to cornell for vet school (It's my instate, that's why I'm using it as an example). Should they get more priority over someone else because they could pay for it over someone who went to different state school? Also I heard somewhere that there is more like 50-ish masters students (feel free to correct me if your source knows more because I'm not sure of the actuall numbers) so that would be like 1/3 of the class is pulled from LMU and in reality you only have 100 seats for everyone else. Some masters students might only apply to LMU only but a few from my class applied to other schools and some got in to those and went there instead.

The previous message is exactly right. Yes being a current masters student I definitely felt it helped me in getting into LMU, however, there was a fair amount of my classmates who got wait listed. To be exact we have a class of 30, about half of us got accepted, half of us waitlisted, and then a few of us just got out right denied (mostly just the people who straight up failed anatomy but I've been told a few exceptions.) Regardless the masters program most certainly is no cake walk there are plenty of long nights of studying just like in the vet school though not nearly as much and on top of that it's difficult in it's own unique way since it's not all straight exams you have research assignments, scientific papers to write, and group projects which definitely take time away. That being said it is very manageable and I would highly encourage anyone who is on the edge of getting into vet school to apply and do the program if they get selected and have the chance to. Even if you would do it and you wouldn't get in the year immediately after getting your MS you could use that for future application cycles as widening your portfolio for getting into LMU or other schools in the future!

TODAY IS (HOPEFULLY) THE DAY PEOPLE !!! think positive thoughts try not to throw up and good luck ! love u all thanks for sticking together and being so supportive of one another during this suffering

Waitlisted (interviewed Jan 29) can’t say I’m not disappointed but hey you never know what’ll happen from now until April 16

Interviewed Jan 22 and waitlisted, dissapointed but I just keep telling myself that there’s always next cycle.

I've just been informed that "all notifications have been sent out to denied and waitlisted students" from LMU.
