Ahh! When did you graduate? I graduated in 2016. And omg don't say that. There is plenty of room for qualified people, and there's a lot more to an app than just your stats on paper 🙂 Plus, I think psychiatric epi/behavioral health epi is a more unique interest, so hopefully that poses an advantage for us!ahhh we went to the same school/same major except your everything is slightly higher/better than mine and we applied to almost all the same programs and I'm also interested in psychiatric epi so I'm just going to go cry now.
congrats!! when did you apply?i got admitted into Uwash.... just got the mail this morning.....super duper excited!!!!![]()
also would like to know! Astaclover which program did you apply to?congrats!! when did you apply?
@runsdmphalso would like to know! Astaclover which program did you apply to?
ME!!! This last Monday was 7 weeks (not that I'm counting 😉). I have a friend who is at Emory now (first year Epi) and she said she was surprised that they told it would be that quick. She applied in December and didn't hear until March.Ahhh is anyone dying to hear back from Emory? I applied to their Epidemiology (MPH) program through SOPHAS on 11/3, got an email stating they received my application on 12/1 and another email on 12/4 stating my application has been forwarded to review. In the same email it said "3-6 weeks (sometimes shorter, sometimes longer)". It's been six weeks and I know there have been holidays in between so I'm assuming it's taking a while for them to review applications but I'm so anxious to hear back! I've been checking OPUS every day!
I'm over 6 weeks too.... I emailed last week and they said it'd be 1-2 more weeks....Ahhh is anyone dying to hear back from Emory? The 10 Stages Of Waiting For Grad School Admissions Decisions
I'm over 6 weeks too.... I emailed last week and they said it'd be 1-2 more weeks....
Originally their program was my top pick, but the poor communication and false promises have made me a little wary.
I would highly discourage you from going to JHU for MBA. As an undergrad at JHU, I have realized that JHBSPH are far more inteligent than the MBA people. Carey students aren't the brightest you can find, but a lot of your MPH friends will be from the medical school, some of the smartest people in the nation. Carey is a scam at this point. It just got accredited last year.hi there!
first time posting since I haven't seen this question covered yet: has anyone applied, accepted, or been rejected from the JHU MPH/MBA program yet?
thanks 🙂
Does anybody have an idea that whether Yale has started to scan through all the applications yet?

Chance me. Why do schools don't post most recent admission stat?
It is on Jan 23rd, when is your interview?Hi Andrew, may I ask what they ask you in the interview for Dartmouth?

It's on Jan 30. I thought you have already had it 😉~ Good luck for you!It is on Jan 23rd, when is your interview?
Congratulation! I submitted my application at 12/30, when do you think I will hear back from them?Accepted to Yale EMD!!!![]()
Congratulations!! Did you find out about Yale via email or portal? Is there a portal for Yale?Just got accepted to Yale EMD as well!!!!!
I just received an email from Yale this morning about my acceptance! I am unsure if there is a portal. I did not see a link for one. I am thinking that I have to fill out the intent to attend form and place a non-refundable deposit of $500 first before they send me any more information.Congratulations!! I am afraid my GRE scores (especially quantitative) are going to hold me back. I was a part-time grad student and worked full-time for the past year, so I did not study like I should have.

I am a current Yale EMD student. Last year, there was no portal; all communication came via email. Don't worry about the deposit right now. You will get plenty of information from Yale including financial aid / scholarships, communication with student ambassadors (current students), emails from professors, admitted students day info, online admissions office chat info, accepted students Facebook group info, and more! I submitted my deposit right near the deadline last year while I waited to hear back from all of the schools I applied to, and I didn't miss out on anything. What portal is this? Did Hopkins provide you with a userid and password on submission of application?Just checked my portal, and I got into Hopkins MPH!!! Does anyone know when you'll hear about financial aid/scholarship?
Your GPA isn't bad, which graduate program were you in? To be quite honest your quantitative score is pretty low (I was told by my peers to aim for at least a 50%), and this could be alarming unless you did well in your college-level or graduate-level quantitative courses. I don't know how competitive UM's program is and how much they focus on quantitative aspects, but assuming that you did well in your math courses I think you should be fine as long as you write a good SOP.

I'm heading into my 4th week wait for Emory's Health Policy program! For those of you anxiously waiting for Emory, I'm right there will you all since it's my first choice program! lol However, since I ranked 3 programs from 3 different departments, I most likely won't hear anything until March if I don't get into any of the programs I ranked. 🙁
For those of you who have been accepted to Emory, did you receive the email first or did you constantly check OPUS and found your admission decision there before you received the acceptance email?
I got an email saying that I got into my second choice, but OPUS still hasn't been updated.I'm heading into my 4th week wait for Emory's Health Policy program! Wow that's really awesome! I thought we would be hearing back in mid Feb so that's early!i got admitted into Uwash.... just got the mail this morning.....super duper excited!!!!![]()
I definitely know what you mean about New York being too crowded, I was there this summer and felt the same way! I’m also anxiously waiting to hear back from UCLA. I applied to a few other California schools but like you said, they are not at the same level as the east coast schools.
i tot it was still i saw the mail!!!!!......have to write for dean's scholarship of 20k, and also research assistant @ STARTWow that's really awesome! I thought we would be hearing back in mid Feb so that's early!
Congrats! How long did it take from when they sent you an email that your app was sent to your second choice to when you received the acceptance email?I got an email saying that I got into my second choice, but OPUS still hasn't been updated.
I think so. You can maybe try emailing the admissions. If they sent your app to your second choice, they are supposed to email you when that happens. Good luck to you! What programs did you rank?do you think ranking # of different programs has something to do with the waiting period? because from the email it said the first choice will review then pass onto the next choice. i'm assuming the first choice alone takes 3-6 weeks to review as mentioned in the email. i ranked two programs so my assumption was that i'll be waiting longer once my application gets forwarded to second choice. they said they'll notify me if my application gets forwarded so i am convinced that they're not even done reviewing my application for first choice. it's been over 6 weeks for me.🙁
I'm so scared to email the admissions people because I feel like they get these emails all the time and get annoyed. So all I can do is complain anonymously on an online platform. 😳I think so.
