I swapped off cray and voted MJ 5 minutes before vote close. I meant to vote him earlier simply because it’s kind of anti village to be so absent (though I very much sympathize with this game being such a huge time commitment as I struggle to balance it and school.) I am willing to give cray the chance to catch up and see what she gets as night results (if she lives). Cray is still at the top of the wolf reads though

What happened is I asked the mods if it would help me find out who was villager and who was a wolf, and they basically said back, "what makes you think it does either and that this isn't multiball?"

I mean, they could just be screwing with me.

I wouldn’t really call it screwing with you.

Point blank answering the question would have been giving you access to game design information that you shouldn’t have.

There’s no way to answer the question without over sharing game design information.

Until I see actual evidence of a 3p I’ll stick to the notion that we’re just looking for a simple wolf pack.

Rereading a bit and struggling with how terribly wolfy I find Alissa's entry to the thread. The problem is I always find her terribly wolfy and I'm usually wrong. So maybe the wolfiness should be comforting?

Want to revisit how or if this read progressed.

The initial callout of non-lurky Zenge, acknowledging my reply to it (Zingo referring to BINGO cards related to things people say about Zenge every d1) and yet still going ahead and voting for him felt very off. The whole context of her discussion on him felt off to me when I know she knows his lurking too much or not enough has become a joke at this point.

The statement that she normally agrees with Cray's thoughts and yet she found Cray's emoji comment weird also rubbed me the wrong way. If you know Cray well enough to normally be in the same page, you know she enters every game talking about my and others' emoji usage.

I don’t feel like doing a whole ISO of cray but these last two games don’t show the pattern that Dubz claims exists, which I’m not denying it does, but I wasn’t familiar with it. So maybe I’m wrong in my judgement of her opening post and it’s NAI. Clearly cray herself was not as put off by my commentary as Dubz was

Actually, what's ironic is I went and looked, and the Zenge post I commented on, had a heart in it. Not an emoji exactly, but it's a symbol meant to convey emotional meaning, so to me it's like an emoticon or emoji in usage. It's a graphic people add to text to confer greater emotional meaning. As much as I do joke about their meaning, and the jokes aren't serious, I'm not kidding that they do affect me and I worry how they affect my reads and I do take note of their usage, as I do reacts and anything else in thread.

Phrases are weird and finding out their true meaning can be interesting. I saw a TikTok that said the saying “No can do” was used back in the day to make fun of Chinese immigrants. I fact checked it and it does have racist origins, but is considered acceptable to use today. Same with the phrase “long time, no see”

Ok stranger things 2 was a similarly small game. Day 1 PSV was misyeeted. Early on she seemed to really try to push content out of people. She is doing the same thing here but her tone seems different and it’s making me uneasy. I’ve never played with wolf!PSV. Does anyone know if PSV being pushy on thread is NAI?

This makes me want to lean Dubz more village because I have a hard time seeing wolf!Dubz coming to his defense so quickly. This reads as impossible to be w/w because I would be shocked to see wolf!Dubz so blatantly defend a wolf teammate over something so small. Zenge is in neutrals for me so I read this as v/w or v/v

Are you sure? Because Wolf Dubz likes to pocket iirc. Zenge has the reading card on Dubz, right? So if she's wolf, wouldn't she need to try to do something to affect his read of her?

I like this analysis. I’m not necessarily sold on a Wolf!PSV world, but it does feel like Trilt is analyzing the slot from a village mindset.

I can follow this logic on PSV and I did an ISO when she did this in a previous game that was small and she was village. I’ve never played with wolf!PSV to know if this is NAI for her or not. I did note a possible slight tonal difference but that may be me trying to search for something that isn’t there. I do have some questions for her in a previous post that I would like to see answered

It's probably best to keep a list of who only deepwolfs and who only powerwolfs. I'd be willing to say the majority of players bus which would make a massive list to keep track of.

Yeah could be a playstyle difference. As a Wolf I would totally do that in thread rather than in Wolfchat. Maybe letting them know before / being sure that they are okay with it before trying to put the focus on them. But its like, a chance to do wolf theatre also that scenario so why not take it wowee. W/W interactions always goated

This was what I had bookmarked from psv. The explanation just feels like really genuine on why they are reading zenge/AM that way, and it seems like towny caution imo. Like, I dont feel wolfy intentions to make a difference in treatment there . Idk how to express it better but thats just towny to me

@alissa14 Okay so the reason for voting Santy was twofold:
Yeah, basically a reaction test to see whether anyone (particularly Cray, with her mention of his "noobiness") would jump ship and join me. That would've been several wolf points to whoever joined me.
I also wanted to see how (if) Santy reacted to a vote or whether someone was super vocal about defending him. Santy's reaction was very chill, he continued village reading me, and no one was very outspoken to defend him.
My reasoning was to try and catch a wolf (modelled off of Dubz trying to bait wolves by voting Zenge in... idk I think that was Okami?) but also to assess whether it seems safe to village read Santy.
This is a long winded way of saying yes, I am village reading Santy, and the reaction test yielded null results, so either the wolves weren't around in that time frame or I just didn't do a great job laying the trap

Did you play last game? Because I was village and went on and on about not yeeting LHF noobs AND despite that, ended up voting the noob wolf early on as a reaction test.

It just seems weird you got this wrong.

And your theory that you thought you would catch me if I was wolfing feels weak.

Laughy face as an emoji is generally wolfy side of neutral, but post content can push it more neutral or towny, as in this post. It's the tongue out emoji that is always sus.

To be clear, when I give my emoji thoughts, they are my actual thoughts, as in, how the emoji usage feels to me. I'm not sure how good a method EA is (emoji analysis) for being AI. Is it as good as VCA? **** dudes, I think it's even worse than NKA. It's some low tier ****, like worse than backyard skunk weed. But if there is some player specific meta to their usage that is AI, or it ever leads to a real lead, dammit, I will find it.

Your noise:signal ratio would seriously be so much better. So many things you bring up have already been hashed out in the upcoming pages and it just ends up feeling like you're filling space and contributes minimally when you're catching up from so far behind.

(I know the technique fits your meta, it just truly makes it hard to get a read on you when you spew constantly).
