Haha aaaand they took it back. Man... I thought it was a scholarship or something. That could have been a game changer. (not serious)
 
I thought it was an acceptance email for a second. How they gonna tease me like that. I have no acceptances so far and they giving me mini heart attacks with this e-mail.

an interview date just opened up for dec 13 (next thursday)....if anyone thats interviewing in jan wants to take it and free up a spot for me in early jan i would be very thankful! (im interviewing on jan 24)!! I would totally take dec 13 but i cant make it down there by then!!
 
I got the deposit paid email too. I wanted to email them back asking if they were sure it was a glitch.
 
So does no one really know about waitlist movement for NSU? Congrats to those that have already been accepted and don't have to wait on pins and needles lol.

It was definitely a glitch. I got an email apologizing for the glitch, even though I didn't receive the glitched email. Haha!

I believe that the alternate list moves a bit in March-April and then sporadically throughout the summer (May-July) until school starts. Look at past NSU threads to get a feel for when people on SDN posted about alternate list movement.

The best thing to do if you're on any alternate list is to update the school with meaningful activities and continue expressing your interest in attending the school.

Oh I know it was. I just wanted them to see if I could make them second guess themselves. Then they'll tell me my deposit is good to go. Because that would really happen if I email them, right? 😀

so did anyone actually pay the deposit last night? I paid it yesterday and I am confused now.
 
After reading that email I thought that Nova had taken the liberty of charging the deposit to the same credit card I used for my secondary payment.
 
So .... does getting that email mean that we're in?

Haha! I guess I did get the fake acceptance email. My gmail archived it. It's probably good that I didn't get it tho. I would have shouted in the middle of class, "I got in!" And then realized, "Oh no, I didn't get in." :-(

Then I would have withdrawn.

Wooot! Accepted to my #1 DO school. Very excited and happy. I guess i'll be putting down my deposit pretty soon.
 
Now I need to see if they will count my lab PI lor as non science. Anyone have any experience with that?

Apparently classes for M2s start 8/5. Students on the FB page said we'd probably do orientation and white coat the week before (their best guess). I dot think anything official has been set for those of us incoming.
 
Anyobody know how lax the letter of rec requirements are once accepted? I apparently still need a Non-Science LOR before matriculation and was trying to see if i could get away with having my lab research letter count.

I think someone was able to use an employer as a nonscience. I'd call Anastasia directly to ask. They seem to be pretty flexible about it.

The first day was July 30th for my class, with the White Coat Ceremony the day before. My M2 year starts August 5th. I don't know what that means as far as your class is concerned.

How would we go about finding out the exact days? I have family all over the country, so the earlier that I can tell them the dates, the easier it will be to plan everything out.

Perhaps see if you can make an inquiry to one of the administrators (not admissions).You should be getting more information as it gets closer. This is all months and months away still.
 
Around what month should I start looking for housing? I want to stay walking distance from school.
