so i received a voice message from NOVA asking me to call to schedule an interview and when i called back they said I was never invited for an interview..lol this schools is messing with my brain..

EDIT: i see fluoropHore had a similar problem. On the voice message they left they said they sent me an II via email but I also never found any II in my email. I called and they said no II until January.. I think there is a huge miscommunication going on here..very unorganized.

Well I believe the admissions committee met yesterday or today, but I heard the dean isn't back to the school until the 20th. So depending on how hard the man likes to work, we may hear something on Friday.

Man that would be awesome. I could pretty much forget about LECOM then...

Well I think I am gonna call it quits with Nova. I got the call about why I haven't scheduled my interview. Called admissions. They said sorry we will "try" to resend the message and that it was a system problem and had happened to many people. Two days have passed with no email. As late in the cycle as it is and how unprofessionally this has been handled on top of the massive debt Nova students have on average I am ending my quest to attend Nova disappointed. I am just gonna hope my other options pull through for me. Best of luck friends.

Not originally, I spent a good amount of time there growing up and my family lives there now. Funny thing is I somehow ended up a PA resident for this app cycle; still not quite sure how that happened, my fiancee tricked me into it I guess.

Anybody hear any news about the Dean? This could make my decision between KCUMB and NSU a lot easier.

I hope it's an acceptance! I guess they can't send all the emails at the exact same instant. This gives me hope that I may hear about it today. It is nearly 6pm in Florida right now though...

Agreed, they have to go through and scan each acceptance letter (from the Dean and the Admissions Councler) to pdf and my last name happens to be right at the top of the alphabet...You'll get one today or tomorrow!

Hearing that Nighthawk found out today when he interviewed two days after me is driving me NUTS in anticipation. After the disappointment from hearing back from LECOM-B, I would like this one to be a positive.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the e-mail was "I'M NOT GONNA HAVE TO TAKE THE MCAT AGAIN"! I still have nightmares about that thing! Everyone hang in there! There are a lot of spots there I think some of them just might have your name on it! 🙂

That's exactly what I thought. I gave all of my MCAT stuff away. So happy I'll never have to spend money on med school apps or the MCAT again.

It can't come soon enough. The last couple of weeks I have lived and breathed by east coast time. First for interview invites, and now for the decision from Nova.

My morning starts at 5:00 am (west coast), which is when I am hoping the people are getting into their offices in Florida. By the time I am out of the shower/dressed/dog fed/coffee in a cup/breakfast cereal in a bowl/sat down at the table/CHECK E-MAIL and SDN it is 5:45 (8:45 on the east coast... why have they not emailed me yet!!!!)

Off to work by 6:20. That gives me 35 minutes to be away from a computer so I cannot obsess over this... At work before 7:00 (10:00 east coast. What are they doing there! why are they not sending out my email!)...

The rest of the day seems similar. What time is it here. Add three hours... What can they be doing? Until 2:00, which is really 5:00 there. SO SAD. Admissions people have gone home for the evening to be with their families. I have another evening of forming an stomach ulcer. It is a good thing that I have a Rx for Pepsid. Otherwise I would probably not have a stomach lining any more. Ha Ha.

After my waitlist from LECOM-B, I am a little more nervous about this one. Getting an acceptance would get my confidence back for my upcoming two interviews after next weekend.
