Thanks everyone! I got an email today. I was ready for review (got the call) mid july around the 15th. I'm OOS (Texas), 28 MCAT, 3.68 sGPA
That's awesome! I'm Texas too! Hope we both get there! Congrats on the invite what's the earliest date to interview?

I got the call 31st July, hope it's not much longer a wait

I haven't even gotten a call that it's under review...I got the call that the application is complete like at the beginning of July 😵

I don't think it's two separate calls...if it is, we're in the same boat haha
I hope haha. I just hate the randomness of the entire process. I'm not entirely sure why schools say they're rolling admissions when it really doesn't seem as if it is rolling haha.

Congrats to those who have received an II and fingers crossed for those still waiting!

II today for me as well 😀 ... Aaahhhh so totally unexpected!!!!
I was complete mid-July and received a call a couple of days after
MCAT 29, GPA: 3.5+, OOS (international)

The earliest date I can see is Sept 10th and nothing after that

Congrats! When did you submit your secondary? Mind sharing your stats?

anyone who got a II---when did you get the email/call from them? just wondering because I know with some schools they all go out the same time (i.e. 9AM on a Monday). Trying to nail down when we should all have our eyes on the lookout so I can stop checking my email 200000 times a day.

Edit: wrote tuesday instead of monday

Have there been any rejections? I got the call around mid july as well and seem to have same stats as most ppl with II so for– wondering if they're doing silent rejections or not.

Congrats to everyone with II!

Supplemental complete/all letters received but still waiting on my MCAT scores! Took the exam in July and received my scores last Tuesday (the 18th)..sent scores to AACOMAS that same day, so I'm hoping that they are received soon! Congrats to those who have gotten II already!! 🙂 you guys are awesome!

damn I got wait listed for them last year but still no interview invite this year, it's starting to stress me out a bit ><

I don't remember receiving a phone call saying my information was complete or under review. I just see my application is under "processed" when you log into the secondary application and I received an email with the PDF version of my application. Wondering if I should call to verify.

*submitted secondary on 07/29

Got a phone call earlier this week saying my application was complete and another one yesterday saying that I was missing a document that would be needed in order for my app. to be reviewed...ahh c'mon AACOMAS, verify my MCAT score already! :bored:

To those who received an II, did any of you guys submit official transcripts to NSU-COM?

I'm planning to fly out right after my interview, so I was wondering when exactly we are permitted to leave. This page (http://www.nova.edu/cwis/hpdasa/interview-day/com.html) says 8:15 to 3:30, but the scheduling interview page says 8:15 to 4:30. Was also wondering, since the interviews take place in the morning, can we leave after lunch?

Do you see multiple days to schedule an interview or just one (Sept 10th) because I only see one and I don't even see the time the interview day is supposed to end

II today. I feel sorry for the pathetic ppl crying over acceptances to "provisionally accredited" (code for unaccredited) schools. NSUCOM is a true accredited school with a long history.

I would call them to be sure! It wouldn't hurt and it'll put your mind at ease 🙂.

I submitted my secondary July 31st and received the completion call the following Tuesday.

I only saw the Sep 10 date and booked it, it tells you the time after you schedule it.

Anyone have good hotel recommendations? I'm taking my family with me and don't mind spending a bit more on hotels. I assume the area around Lago Mar is the most scenic place to stay?

I got a call from NSU today and the woman left me a voice msg saying to give them a call back. When I did return the call, the person at the other end was clueless as to why NSU gave me a call...He went over my app and said that my application is complete and he has no idea why I received the call in the first place. :annoyed:
Anyone else had a similar experience today?

What is the exact number that called?

II today. I feel sorry for the pathetic ppl crying over acceptances to "provisionally accredited" (code for unaccredited) schools. NSUCOM is a true accredited school with a long history.

I feel sorry for you trying to put others down. I've been interviewed at true accredited schools (2 so far) and provisionally accredited schools (1 so far) this cycle already, and let me tell you, the provisionally accredited schools seem to work harder and really want their students to succeed. They really impressed me. CUSOM already reported to me to have a 94% passing rate on COMLEX for their first incoming class, which is on par with the other "true accredited" schools. Also, CUSOM has full accreditation status in June 2017, which is before I would graduate. I'll let you know after my CCOM and my ATSU-KCOM interview in the coming month how I still feel.

Plus, at CUSOM, I'm eligible for the $20k a year scholarship which puts the tuition around $25k whereas NOVA, which would put me at $54k. Good luck being $120k more in debt, with interest.

But on a side note, congrats for receiving a II. My point here is that for DO schools, it doesn't really matter too much what school you go to. As long as you do well on your boards, and have good relationships with your rotations/ professors, you'll be wherever you want to go.

I was thinking the same thing. Called… somehow they hadn't received my letters so they couldn't continue reviewing my application. 🙂 problem solved

I thought they didn't need your letters until they invited you for an interview

It was weird, she was saying she hadn't gotten my MD letter when I could see it in my portal with an "MD" beside the name. Probably an oversight.

Looking at your post history, I feel sorry for YOU for being so incredibly arrogant (especially considering you don't seem to have any acceptances under your belt). I sincerely hope that I never have to work with you, IF you get accepted to a medical school. Maybe the reason why you have been waitlisted this early on is because your interviewers can tell that you are entitled and egotistic. Getting an interview to ANY medical school is an accomplishment and something one should be proud of. You have no right to make others feel down about their accomplishments.

I probably interviewed with sockpupet. He claimed to be in the first round of interviews at LECOM in mid-July, which is the group I was in. He already got waitlisted there, which made no sense since they don't give decisions until end of September at the earliest.

Out of my interview group, I could suspect which one he was. I heard stories with the other interviewees how their group was. There were only three group interviews performed that day.

Haha this is too much. Made my day...

how many LOR can we send? I sent in my committee LOR and then LOR from my professors and a DO and for some reason only my professor LOR are showing on the portal

I would probably call and ask about that -- all of your LORs should show on their portal.

Is there a limit on how many letters of recommendation I can submit it?
No, feel free to submit in as many letters as you like.
Please note that the system will only update the first letters received that meet the requirements in Webstar. If you want to know if any extra letters were received, you can contact the admissions call center.

Thank you so much!!

That's funny, because when I called the lady seemed surprised that I had more than the required amount. I don't think she realized that AACOMAS sends the same letters to all the schools and you can't choose which letters go to which school.
