I keep watching youtube videos that people post here, but when I want to go back and show my bf they're so hard to find! It's a bit better when they're posts of their own, but when they're buried in the middle of threads (and especially if I don't remember WHICH threads) it's a slog. So I figured I'd start a "post something" thread for people to post videos, links, articles, funny Internet things, whatever.

I'm home! Worn out and sick of the car, but I had fun and I'm glad to be back. Now, I need to hunt up those videos.

What English sounds like to foreigners - basically, an Italian composer wrote this song to sound like English... but it's not. I think it's really interesting to hear (plus, it's a groovy song!)

Randy Pausch (as linked by david594), but a little bit different...The Last Lecture had huge influence on me. If you don't have the book GET IT!!! Reading it helped to get me back on track to becoming a veterinarian. Words can't describe how awesome I think this guy is.

This lecture made my day. Now when all sorts of crappy things happen, it's ok because I can just go and synthesize happiness.

And I don't even need to get into vet school because no matter what happens my frontal lobes will convince me I am better off. True genius!

I would never have watched it except I completely trust my brother's taste in tv shows, music, movies, and alcohol, so I watched it once and thought it was hilarious. I wish I had BBC at school. 🙁

That is fantastic. I remember I saw a possum walking across campus (it was in Cali) and it took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out it wasn't the ugliest cat I had ever seen. Not sure why I was so dense except I did not expect to see one in the middle of LA.

Thanks! My boss is a snake/venom expert but he hangs around lots of reptile people too and forwards me all the cool pics they send him!!!

I once spotted a scraggily looking gray cat on campus at night and naturally scampered after it calling "here kitty kitty!" Yeah, wasn't a cat, just a really enormous rat.
When I saw the Princess Bride as a pre-schooler, I patiently explained to my friends that there were ROUS's in real life, we just call them "possums."
