Panem et Circenses - Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
P.s. help, I think the noob may already be a better player than me... I'm a tad jealous... goodness gracious I gotta figure out how to do that lol
lol I feel the same way. My 'feelz' meter seems pretty lame lol. Guessing that Nav is gonna think this is serious buisness rather than srs bzns. Maybe someone should point them towards the lounge game when it starts

Rely
Yes she does it frequently. Do you rely heavily on meta? Doesn't seem like it. Guess I'm confused by you not wanting to read too much into what people have done in the past but now doing this.
You are assuming I can figure out metas for each individual person in this game within a day of start time. I haven't even read through a full past game at this point. Relying simply on wolfy deflect tactics, without taking into account metas.

Why are you being so aggressive/evasive? Trying to come up with a new meta?
You haven't played every game I have. I've played this way before. And lol @aggressive I get that too much irl 😉

I get quickly irritated with AM's play. I don't really like answering her questions because I don't think it is beneficial.

Maybe this will be more beneficial then.

You don't think it's beneficial to know why people are voting for who they are voting for? Or are you just special so you don't need to answer cuz you KNOW your village and dammit we should too....
Not only this, but it's also beneficial for people to see how others respond to questioning. More posts give us more to go off of.

No I don't find her questions helpful because she asks a bunch of other people and never provides answers to other people's questions. I have no problem answering and asking questions, that's all part of the game. It's how she does it.

How is that more beneficial? You going to "force a lynch"?

AM will always answer questions when asked in a correct way. You may not like her answers, but she always does.

It is always helpful to village to share on thread why you are voting for someone, especially when asked specifically to do so. Full stop.

Why?

You're less likely to dodge me with a little pressure, I presume.

(I apologize if this is out of order, I am going by the search results to "WW" order)
Ireland: Wolf vote and first post
Anatomy Lab Speed: Wolf vote and first post
Bad Apple: First post by wolf
Back to the basics: hiker: First post by Wolf (who conveniently was also Stayingpositive)
Noob game: Neither
Colorado WW: Both first post and first vote
Scientifically WW: First vote
WW at a Wedding - Auto convert posted first and voted first, not sure if they knew they would auto convert though
Smash bros - First vote by "other"
Back to basics: cycling - Neither (was AM)

First vote: 6/10 (1 being other)
First post: 6/10

I am going to cut off there for now, take from that what you will, and go more into reading how people play the game. But I will take greater than 50% on a day one vote.

This post is bothering me and I can't figure out why so I'm quoting it to come back to again later.

I'm interested in the number of posts by dina so far, seems increased
so far feeling vill on AM, Zig, Nav
maybe pips
Putting me in the village column on day one when you have never played a game with me or seen how I play feels like a manner of wooing me away from voting you.

I wouldn't quite go full stop with that comment, we don't need a seer outing themselves if they don't have to.

Out of curiosity, what is the "correct" way to then glean information from AM. Seems like an interesting meta to be always vague and unable to be differentiated as a wolf. Respectable, but I would imagine it just ends with them getting wrongly lynched frequently or investigated early when they are a wolf.

@StayingPositive2017 Why did you put Pippypony in the maybe villager column, when they have pretty much only done flattery, off-topic commentary, or banter (with a couple exceptions)?
She likes to tease AM early game but I think she sounds more "serious" when she's trying NOT to look like a wolf. But she's also good at mixing it up, hence in the "maybe"

I feel like this is omitting quite a lot of games.

I like stats and I like it when players put effort into research like you're doing, but there was a period of time when at least one person who used to be quite good at playing these games (@Trilt) would automatically put the first poster into their village column because they were highly likely to be village. Don't want to discourage you from doing this kind of analysis, but I don't think you'd get a particularly low P value on this one 😉

I simply did the first 10 game threads when searching "WW". If you have time to do so, I encourage you to extend the list, I am currently trying to learn how various people that appear suspicious to me have posted in the past as wolves.

Heh, if it's making you uncomfortable now, imagine what will happen when it is actually directed your way.
No, I mean that many of things you say make me think "power wolf" rather than "villager".

Like this "hello, fellow kids" part:
I wouldn't quite go full stop with that comment, we don't need a seer outing themselves if they don't have to.

No she won't. She hasn't answered me. I don't need to tailor my questions to suit her needs. Just like I don't need to answer her.

Dunno why people have so much resistance to this, when most other people's votes don't have much weight behind them, if any at all
